Come on people a cult hit almost always has a devoted group of fans that like to talk about it. Except for Dragons Dogma.

Sounds nice but how does it work in practice? What do you consider the best Strider skills?

Well looking at the forums the game has averaged 8.6 by the users which is much closer to what I would rate it. Really looking forward to the game developing further.

bogart069

His words are what matters now some trite number. It is impossible to quantify the experience of a game into a number, but it needs to be done because that is what people expect. What does an extra .6 really even mean in the end? The ideas and how he expresses him time with the game is what matters. No, matter how much he loved the game he is in a position where he has to be more objective. Like someone else said bottom line Capcom has created a unique and fresh RPG that could become a classic.

Ummm I was told he said something like "Its both broken and brilliant" and I think thats very fair. Who else would take the time to actually come on this forum and explain what he meant? In my mind that speaks more about how he felt about the game then any review. (although his was top quality as always) The game does alot of brilliant things but also has some somewhat broken systems. I think the quests that can be failed for no good reason are the biggest issue with the game.

Its awesome game and it was an awesome review.

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question. I just think thats awesome and shows how even with all its problems the game still has this magic thats hard to describe. I was pretty sure you would love this game based on your other reviews and such, but I also understand that your need to remain objective and the game does have many issues. I just watched the review and it was great as your reviews always are. I thought it was really neat that you were using one of the same Pawns (Roll) that I use. I am sure it must be even more awesome for the player that created the pawn. Weird things such as this are what makes the game so special and like you said very "unique". I can't think of any other game where I can create a character that looks like Tyrion Lannister and then give him a pawn that looks just like Bronn from ASOIAF. I created a character that looks like Jon Snow and a pawn that looks like Daenerys. This game has a very interesting idea of what it means " to role play", one of my favorite things to do is take pictures of those perfect little moments. The first time you enter the Rift there is a sense of wonder and just "I have never seen anything like this before".

Sorry for the wall of text. I just graduated and I am trying to become a writer myself so it was kind of exciting to see my favorite writer on the site actually explain what he meant to me and others. To be honest as well as very dorky. Again, thanks for taking the time and for writing intelligent, informative and objective reviews.

It seems really in theory but how does it work in practice? What is the point in being able to jump higher off a foe? To then attack another foe from mid air?

So, the potions that you buy are not supposed to be for your main pawn? Just the followers? Has anyone seen what I am talking about? The potions you can buy at from Vendors who only accept Rift Cyrstals.

I bought one that "made the pawns protect the arisen at all cost" and one that "made them pay heed to health and Stamina" Thinking I could create a carful pawn this way.

Why is no one understanding my question? I am not talking about the knowledge chair thing where you pick Medicant and all that.

I will try and be as clear as possible. I am talking about the items you can buy from the special vendors that only take Rift Crystals. They have special little potions that you can drink to change your pawns inclination. I am wondering though does only one potion work at a time or could you buy them all drink them and your pawn will act accordingly? For example I bought one that makes the pawn "put the arisens saftey above all else" meaning they will heal my when I need. Could I also buy a potion that makes the pawn "attack the weakest link" and still have him heal me as top priority? Or does one cancel out the other? I have the guide but it does not say.

I was really worried and came here to say why no review but now that I know Kevin is going to be doing it I will wait. Always, spot on reviews and I think he must really like the game to be taking his time to review it. Sure, it is not perfect but there is a certain magic to the game that your almost never see anymore.
