@nyadc: It still makes Comcast the bad guy here. Not really sure what problem you have with Sony. It must suck being a blind fanboy.
Again. It's just Comcast trying to strong arm companies into paying them to use the infrastructure when the public is already paying to use their services. It's just a greedy company trying to use their size to force people to do their bidding.
This kind of business practice is out of date. If Comcast continues this garbage, they will continue to lose business. Nobody wants to be locked in with a company that limits the use of their devices. There's plenty of providers expanding their business and offering cheaper and more open internet. 20 year from now Comcast will be out of business if they don't change their business practices.
@mems_1224: Don't worry mems. Some day Microsoft will copy Sony and you will get shareplay and custom controls.
Besides that. Sony has had suspend resume in the works since the console was first shown. It was one of the main features they showed off. So not really sure how they're copying Microsoft...
@nyadc: That's an unfairly broad generalization. Sony allows HBO Go, Comcast does not.
People should not be rallying against Sony to pay Comcast. People should be rallying against Comcast to stop blocking devices from connecting to services to strong arm businesses into paying them. It's a rotten business practice and should be illegal.
