It's a shame the best Final Fantasy in almost a decade is going to get overshadowed by a demo.

Intriguing. It may be the western critics agree with Famitsu on this one.

Damn. Combine the reception and my recent desire to play Final Fantasy games (just getting into FFXIII-2) and I really want to get this game. Sometime soon!!!!

Or maybe Famitsu just guessed without plaything the game like they always do, but they got it right this time.

@Jag85: The Ramuh summon was amazing looking. I think more people are streaming the demo than people streaming Type-0.

Man not sure if the main reason I'm buying this is for type-0, the demo, or because I want a new game.

I'm thinking its the new game but the demo does help. Its a bummer that the demo is probably overshadowing the full game.

I will be buying this but decided to get Bloodborne first, so in a month or two. I'm not really bothered if I get the XV demo or not.

I was glad to hear digital wasn't being left out of the Duscae deal. Got to admit, I'm playing the demo first. I AM interested in Type-0, but the demo is supposed to be only about forty minutes or so, and I really can't wait to dig into dat battle system. FFXIII was stuck in a weird mid way point between turn based and real time, it seems the reaction to this one is much more positive. I have yet to read demo reactions that are not mostly positive.

Um no its not. Those who buy digitally also get the demo ( at least those who buy it within the first week )

I know, thats exactly what I said. :)

For a long time they just kept saying the demo comes with a pre-order early copies, but their was no digital pre-order offered. (which is too bad, I'd have liked for that to have be preloaded and already to go) They didn't clarify that until relatively recently.

Just got home with my copy and started downloading the FFXV demo. What game did I buy again?

It's OK so far, second ugliest game on the PS4 though. Only Duck Dynasty has it beat. I get that it was a PSP game, but there's no reason SE should be selling this as a $69 (in Canada) game.

Been playing this and I gotta say.... I don't get it. It starts off in the weirdest way possible tbh. Warring nations apparently, a bunch of random groups, a bunch of random characters to use right from the get go...

I mean I usually don't care but this is just awkward. I'm sure things will come together better later, but I've never seen a FF start like this before. I'm used to the whole small town main character thing that tends to be at the start every JRPG ever, so it will take some getting used to.

Yeah the game is not a looker that's for sure. I got it with the Gamer Club thing on Best Buy so I don't feel too bad about getting ripped off by Square for like the third time. -_-

I want to play it, but not at $60, especially since I'm not interested in the FFXV demo to the point I'd overpay for a port of a 3-4 year old PSP game.

Oh and for the record, the $59 price point on the Canadian PSN store was a price error, it's back to $69. D:
