I don't really understand the problem here, there are plenty of non-violent games to choose from. Good devs use violence to create the experience they want to. I guess I can understand people feeling like there's too much because lots of top tier games (the heavily advertised ones) tend to be violent, but if people start saying that they want to remove the violence from games like god of war or assassins creed then that would just be dumb.
That last paragraph summed it up pretty well. It has some issues but it is a fresh new original game which seems hard to come by lately. Been having a lot of fun with this game.
I think that people are out of line saying that this game is an offense to soldiers. It may not be 100% authentic or realistic but these devs spent years of their life making something entirely dedicated to the men and women who serve the country in the military. Even if the game is terrible that is much more than most game companies or people in general can say. Plus they worked with actual military people who seem to all approve of the game stand by it which is the response an appreciated tribute will get. Also it seems to me like they are trying to reach out to people with their storyline and pay tribute that way and keeping the gameplay more playable and user friendly so that more people can get through it and experience the story. To me that actually seems like a smart approach since a lot of people would get frustrated and give up if the game was as hard as Tom wants it to be which would mean that those people would miss the storyline.

it would be nice if those new monsters were also made available in the main game rather than just the dlc area like shivering isles. still looks pretty cool either way.
@Neo_Sarevok There is so much more to a TES game's identity than graphics. Some of the images depicted areas that looked like they might be Hammerfell or Elsweyr and others depicted probable Altmer or Bosmer homelands which actually interested me. Not having mods stinks but people asked for a game like this obviously knowing that would be the case. Finally a game this massive in development for five years no doubt had a budget well into the hundreds of millions. The fans asked for a game like this and the devs need to make money on it. What would you have them do? And don't say make TES 6 because they will probably get to that in time anyway.
I'm surprised by all the negativity. I thought people were gonna be pumped for this. Seems like everyone is just assuming it will be bad without solid evidence to support their opinions. I think I'll at least wait to see some gameplay before stomping this into the ground personally.
