I have to agree with enterprise-e. I wouldn't complain so much myself if it was at least for Windows XP & Vista... but why Vista exclusive if it doesn't even use DX10? DX10 is the only reason I am getting Vista in the first place!
I honestly can't wait to see what happens... this is really the first console I've ever been geared up to buy. I've long stuck to PC's for controls and graphics that seem to always be a cut above the consoles anyways if you have the right hardware. To me, the Wii is heading in the right direction, even if I don't bother with the extra stuff and just stick to the basics.... ...and buy some extra SNES and N64 titles that I've only had the pleasure to play at friends' houses. *drool*
Beyond Good and Evil is a great game that ran even on my Radeon 9100 card, though it had some odd graphical glitches. Then I've been running Battlefield Vietnam on the same system alright. I recently had a RAM and video card upgrade though, which really allowed me to play a lot more games, even with keeping my 2.0 GHz AMD Athlon.
Vista so far doesn't even look worth getting except for to have DirectX 10 installed. Unfortunately, I have to make a choice as I'm moving out of my parents' house soon without a choice of keeping my old PC. I hope they get things working by the final, or else, I'm going to be pretty pissed off, carrying a bunch of game disks that won't even work anymore. The thing about Windows 98 games not having a chance pisses me off too. I also hope that the people making DOSBox get an upgrade out for this system.. I have a lot of games I absolutly love that I run with DOSBox on XP right now.
