Hey, I just thought of sharing this big promotion with you guys, the game can be obtained at the minimum of $1, http://www.blossomsoft.com/ ( or more precisely on Groupees )

Eternal Eden was a sleeper hit, but it managed to receive very positive reviews (RPGFan, Jay is Games, GamerTell, GameZebo, etc), including some user reviews here on Gamespot. http://www.gamespot.com/eternal-eden/reviews/

It was originally made with RPG Maker but don't let it cloud your judgement, the story concept and gameplay were brilliantly executed. It's similar to Chrono Cross, Zelda a Link to the Past / or a Link Between Worlds, Lufia 2, etc. The game is intended to be entirely remade from scratch. Well, I hope you'll be busy next week-end thanks to me!

My interest in most genre's has declines, but the only out of the ashes has been rpg's. I like depth to my games, something most games in other genres never achieve, aside from a few exceptions.

I'm of the same opinion, although there are some really good games out there. I especially liked The Last of Us and The Walking Dead recently.

I still love RPGs but mostly the ones on handhelds since they tend to be like the ones I used to love in the 1990s.Radiant Historia is a very good example of a recent masterpiece, but it's a sleeper hit sadly.

I strongly recommend Eternal Eden ( http://www.blossomsoft.com/ ) there's no level grinding in the game and once you're immersed in the game it's hard to stop. The intro of the game is a bit babyish but it quickly change of atmosphere when the tragedy is triggered..

But what about western RPGs like Fallout ??? I think they're pretty different of JRPG in which you've lost interest.

Maybe you guys can help me remember the title of a game...!

There's a boy wearing green clothes and a green bonnet, he's wielding a sword and find cool accessories such a boomerang... He must save a princess and retrieve yellow triangles...

:P

I agree the Wii-U has an horrible impact, BUT Nintendo 3DS??? I think the 3DS is the most awesome portable system ever created to date.

I really don't like this "3DS is the best portable ever" narrative that's been floating around lately. Why? Because it's just not true. Are we forgetting that the DS had a gigantic library of solid titles by this point in its life cycle -- titles notably absent from the 3DS library, like Advance Wars, Castlevania (one that's actually good, anyway), Metroid Prime: Hunters, Kirby (Canvas Curse tops whatever uninventive Kirby title is about to release), The World Ends With You, etc. It's much too soon to coronate the 3DS as some untouchable platform that it's just not. A good one? Yes. Great? Maybe. But let's hold off on cementing its bourgeois status in the video-game world.

I agree with one specific part of your message: WE NEED MORE CASTLEVANIA GAMES! The one from the reboot is lame, where are the ones like Dawn of Sorrow? I would really like Konami to make a new one with adventure and RPG elements.

Most of us played the game when it was first released in the 90s, so the impact was differenr unlike someone who've recently discovered the game. Back then we jumped from the 8 bit era to the 16 bit area, it was magic decade, actually every games felt grandiose back then (Super Mario World, Actraiser, Castlevania IV, Super Ghoul'n Ghosts, Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, etc).

That being said, it wasn't until Twilight Princess that A Link to the Past lost its #1 rank with me.
