All the user videos seem to be down for me - instead just showing a grey box. Anyone else having this issue?

I like everything about Half Life 2 - so it has to be that one for me. I really need to have a go on the expansions.

Instead of getting to step two - it messes around with dw.cbsi.com - whatever that is and then spits out the error:

Fatal error: Smarty error: the $compile_dir '/tmp/templates_c/' does not exist, or is not a directory. in /opt/php/lib/Smarty-2.6.16/libs/Smarty.class.php on line 1095

Any ideas? Or is this just temporary thing?

I think I was about 3 or 4 when my Dad got me a Sinclair ZX Spectrum, and I played Jetpac on it tons and tons, as well as Frogger and several other games. Then I progressed to the Amiga, with my first games being Battle Chess and Battle Squadron. I had an Amiga until 1998, and played tons of games on it - the most memorable being SWOS, Brutal Sports Football, Skidmarks, Populous, Settlers amongst others. I also had consoles too, Mega Drive, Mega CD and eventually a PlayStation. I got a PC in 1998 and immediately started gaming on it (though I wasn't actually allowed to). And I loved the PS so much that I pre-ordered a PS2 from Japan as soon as I heard about it. I guess that'll do for a history lesson on me for now :P

I'd recommend it - it's not gonna cost very much anyway - probably about a tenner for the console and same again for the game. Hell, if you wanted brand new ones I'm sure you could get em for about 3 times as much (if that's your bag), I'm really into retro gaming - it's brilliant to have a few consoles that your mates don't have and that inspire nostaliga in those around you :)

Aye, definately know the feeling. I bought a 360 and loved showing it off on my sexy tv and surround sound system. But then, I found myself wanting to play my friends old PS1 games all the time. Suikoden II, FF8, Resi Evil, Gran Turismo. Oh man, I couldn't cope. So I sold the 360 and bought a PS1 and lots of retro games - now I'm very happy :D

I bought the soundtrack from the Neverworld games because of my love of the songs on Skull Monkeys. I'd very much like some of the piano stuff from the FF games too.
