[QUOTE="orb_03_2006"]Anyways, I'd love to have an answer from someone who isn't a troll...GTR12

TC, your the troll, if you have some common sense, plug in the power cable and turn it on/off, it discharges anything.

Wristbands are for scared people like you.

Seeing how I'm new to PC stuff and I don't want $600-700 to go down the drain due to ONE mishap, I deserve to be scared.

I plan on buying an anti static wristband before taking my pc apart.

Anywho, is it safe to work on my pc in my kitchen? It's the only area in my apartment other than my bathroom that is not carpet. The tile is standard I guess and so are the counter tops. Nothing is carpet in there. So, if I have the wristband, is it safe to still work in there? Or is carpet better because I have the wrist band?

[QUOTE="orb_03_2006"]Wait.. so... is that CPU any good? o.O And what kind of fan will I have to get instead?GummiRaccoon

Yeah it's fine. Get a decent aftermarket cooler, the 212+ is everyone's fave.

Ahh, I was planning on getting the 212+ anyways. And I was only asking about the CPU to know it's limits is all. So long as I can play BF3 or Diablo 3 on some decent settings I'll be fine lol.

Thanks! The cooler looks great and I'll definitely get the CPU you listed. Thanks for everything guys! But yeah, here's what I'm going for: - Coolmaster Hyper 212+ fan - Rosewill Challenger computer case - 8GB of DDR3 RAM - OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W power supply - EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti Superclocked graphics card - AMD Phenom II x4 Black AM3 (3.4 GHz) CPU Sound good? :D

I already plan on getting a new CPU. I just figured I might get one because it's 3.4 GHz, instead of 2.4. I mean, would it help performance-wise to get one? I've heard CPUs come with coolers, but only "just" do the job, rather than doing it GREAT.

OH wow! Thanks a lot! I was wondering one last thing. Since this case will already have fans do you still recommend me buying a fan specifically for my processor??
