You can upgrade the CPU without needing to change the motherboard. You def. need a new power supply. I'm not sure how much GPU space you have, but you might be able to fit that card in there. Air flow is bad though. I suggest a new case. Thanks! Yeah, I'll need to get a new computer table. It's fine now, but if I'm gonna play games, I'll need a lot more air flow space. So that case is a sure thing. And the power supply, YES! I need at least a 500-650W, correct?[QUOTE="orb_03_2006"]I found it!! I bought my desktop computer in 2010. Which, I don't think, is too old. Anyways, I was wondering. If I buy new equipment for it, will it still be compatible?
I have my eye on an EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti and an AMD Phenom II x4 processor.
I'm really new to pc gaming and I am still saving up money for this stuff.
My real question is, will it work with a system that is 2 years old?
Technology is always changing and I would hate to have to buy a brand new motherboard because my current one is "out of date."
Oh yeah, and it's a Dell. I don't know much else, as I don't have my pc right now. I'm using a friend's. Please help!
