@Crakrjak22 Exactly. Part of being an adult is bills and sometimes internet isn't as important as having a home or having food on the table. In the past I've had to go 2 weeks without internet and it was great catching up on single player titles that I had not played yet on my Xbox. I would NEVER buy a $500 console that took that away from me.

On the bright side though my ps4 is pre ordered and paid off so I know where I'm headed next gen :D

@deathstream It's a video game console, I expected to see VIDEO GAMES! Not some announcement for a fucking TV show. Call me jaded of you will, but what else would you expect from a VIDEO GAME CONSOLE REVEAL!

Also cant help but notice the fact the first 30 minutes of the VIDEO GAME CONSOLE REVEAL was about everything the console does BUT video games. What a fucking joke.

Sure am glad right about now I jumped ship from the cash-cow that is the Xbox360 a year ago. No way in hell would I pay $500 for a product that not only requires a subscription fee but also requires me to have internet or I just bought the most expensive doorstop in history. I understand that the majority has internet now days but sometimes life happens and internet can be a luxury. Part of the joys of having bills and being an adult.

@SavoyPrime 35 here and I remember all the intro song as well. Loved the NES game back in the day, I remember renting it for over a week straight and pissing off my parents by not returning it on time. Good childhood memories!

@S4E @oghre78 "Maybe they wanted to sell it as DLC as some have said?"

LOL! Wouldn't surprise me one bit.

" And also the fact that it causes so many bloody problems."

Lol I forget about this, I suppose it does :P. Years of playing MMORPG's have gotten me used to this problem and I don't think about it anymore. I guess I've gotten so used to it happening I just expect it.

@Devil_wings00 @oghre78 That's what I just don't get. I'm an old school gamer and I tolerate always-on DRM. Hell I bought Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 and HOTS (kinda always-on DRM) but I still haven't seen or myself feel any praise for it.

On one hand EA shuts down game servers WAY too early and often and on the other are pushing always-on DRM.......it just doesn't make any sense. This is why I don't understand why ANYONE would support EA.

Blizzard, I popped in the first Starcraft last year and guess what? Servers are still up. I bet if I want to play Diablo 3 in ten years that server would still be up too.

Its not even the fact they want to go always-on DRM its their shady practices is what should turn anyone away.

@HAZCHEM88"but even more are praising the game's always-on features"

I would love to find these people because all I see on the internet are people pissed about it. WTF is wrong with their PR person? Are they the only one in the world who has never heard of the Internet? Maybe they are using some other internet we all dont know about O.o

Nah, I'm not going to pay $60 to "rent" a game for a year or two just to have EA shut the servers down well before they should. (They have been doing this a lot lately)

I learned last time EA, paid $60 for a game that went free to play 6 months later.

EA has turned into a complete joke.
