Despite all the continued hate from the trolls at large, this is going to be a great game. I thoroughly enjoyed Survival mode from MW3 and this looks like it will be just as, if not even more fun =) I think Infinity Ward has done a bang up job, stoked to see the review and to pick up a copy =)
Its up and working for me, but the problem is finding/starting missions. When I try the 'quick mission' option or driving to the actual mission location, an error message pops up saying "Rockstar gaming servers are down" or something similar. So far I've found I enjoyed it, I hope it gets more fleshed out in the future more
I'll bet the only reason we're seeing this article is that Maxis/EA took a NOSEDIVE in sales and here they are, too little too late, trying to do damage control. You guys blew it Maxis, you tried to tell the customer what they wanted instead of listening...Maybe you need another 'vision', one that actually involves making good games again.
@pozium I don't agree, I think buying a 'mode' that should have been included from the start will only encourage companies like them to use this kind of 'bait the customer' bullshit even more.
Maxis strikes me as completely out of tune with their own customer demographic. People WANT single player mode in strategy/building games, always have... It should have been part of the game from release, this isn't rocket science. What I'm guessing is that they're trying to see if people will pay EXTRA for it. Go bite the big one Maxis, your ridiculous 'always online' stance is wearing REALLY thin. Its easy: Make games people like or go bankrupt, that's called business. Maybe start a committee to kick yourselves in the ass, but you're already doing that apparently.
LOTS of hateful people on this board. Grow up folks, this isn't the end of the world...a 9.0 is a very good score. If you're honestly angry about this...you probably live in a basement anyway and need a shower, not another video game.
