Honestly, at this point, I don't care. I'm tired of waiting for a 3-5 year span for the next "real" Mario or Zelda, while having to bust out the N64 or spend a few bucks on the Virtual Console. Two things need to change here: Nintendo's focus on casual games and cashing in on Nostalgia, and the "fans" who are so easily dissapointed.
They've already released 2 ports of OoT on the Gamecube, who cares about a graphic update. Super Mario 64 DS was great and everything, I think it's a fantastic remake, but it wasn't really neccesary was it? And God knows when we'll see Mario Party 9, as well as the original 3 coming to the Virtual Console. My point is that Nintendo lost the innovative style of their after N64, mind you the games are still great, and they do make improvements, but Mario Galaxy isn't NEARLY the revolutionary step that SM64 was, although people want to belive it is. They can't evolve the series and make them better, bacause they have been taken as far as possible.
But the worst, and I mean the WORST thing about this industry, as well as with movies and comic books and what not, are the hellishly demanding fans. They are completely ridiculous. Wind Waker is trying to be different, but it's "kiddy", Twilight Princess is dark and mature, but it's "the same". I mean what do you want? A mature "kiddy" Zelda game? Look at Mario Sunshine. Did people actually think that game would be as "big" as Mario 64, I sure didn't. It's what I expected and what I wanted, I was happy. Same thing with Twilight Princess. Meanwhile, Super Mario World is hailed as a classic for being essentially Super Mario Bros. 3 with better graphics and Yoshi. Look, I love Super Mario World, but that is just a saddle-bag of bulls***.
Bottom Line: Just appreciate what you get, enjoy Zelda. I haven't seen fans this unreasonable since Spider-Man 3 or Indiana Jones 4 (For God's sake, don't argue with me about how "bad" those films are).
