haha, i finally got my white DS3 the other day and it completly changed some games. take uncharted, its nice to feel a rumble when shooting/getting shot, when platforms are about to crumble, and also right before you're impaled in the jungle...

expensive indeed... if anyone is a DIY kind of person and good with electronics there's a tutorial on how to add buttons to the controllers on llamma.com. here's the link

i checked out Tandy and it seems like they only have Cat 6 cables, which will be fine since Cat 6 cables are fully backwards compatible. all you should have to do is plug one end in the router/modem and the other end in your xbox 360 and you should be up and running. hope you guys enjoy fragging each other during christmas!

here's the link to the cables at tandy.com

No Crash mode in the demo.

In the full game there is a new crash mode that is replacing the old called Showtime. It can be started at anytime, anywhere by pressing the LB and RB at the same time like you start races except without the little cutscene. The point of the mode instead of just one crash then watching things happen is to roll your car down the street using your boost and into other cars. Everytime you hit a car, you gain boost meaning you can roll further down the street. Everytime you hit pavement you loose boost.

It seems a little goofy looking at it but I think it will end up being fun.

Sounds wack. O____O

Oh wait, no it doesn't, I understand now, lol. While your car is barrel rolling down the street from crashing, every car you hit I'm assuming you get propelled with greater force down the street... hmmmm, sounds kool. Guess I gotta pick this game up next month. :D

is it just me or did that video seem odd. the car just barrel rolling and turning just seemed weird. now, i know that with the Burnout series realism isnt really a main focus, but this "Showtime" mode just seems to be too much. For me, the appeal of previous Crash modes was trying to set up the timing of the crash so i get the most points... not crashing into any car and controlling where i go and knowing im going to get a high $$ amount cause i can just boost and crash into anything.. just my opinion though

i have the same modem here in california and the cable you'll be needing is a "Cat 5" cable (more commonly called an ethernet cable). it should look identical to the one that plugs directly into your PC from your modem (obviously it would be much longer to reach the lounge.) i dont know how much it would cost over there in australia (depends on how far the xbox is going to be from your PC), but at newegg.com it's US$6.99 for 50feet. just put some tape or a rug over it for christmas so no one trips over the cord. hope it helps

theres the link to newegg

the same thing happened to me when i tried to put in the optical cable in my 360. look at the tips of the cable, is there a translucent rubber/plastic tip on the end (covering the part the light actually comes out)? if so, thats just a cover and its supposed to be taken out. thats the thing that actually makes the cable pop out. once you take those off (both ends) it should fit perfectly in your 360. hope that helps you, it worked for me.... and yes, i felt really really really stupid afterwards

Well, I finally picked up a surround sound system (Yea, Im late on these things lol...) but Im having one problem.

I bought a Digital Optical cable, hoping to get 5.1 sound from my 360, but when I try to put the cable into the extension of the 360 AV cable, it just pops out. It wont stay in the slot. It doesn't pop out from my PS3 or TV. Do I need to buy some sort of special optical cable for the 360 or is my entire AV cable ****ed?

Thanks.

kind of off topic, but i just finished watching the video and anyone else notice that the death animations seem to be the same for the enemies? you shoot them and instead of them falling back, they jump forward. just looks awkward (much like the crossbow sequences in heavenly sword where every enemy you killed would magically jump up and spiral down to their head)

I heard it's one-of-a-kind and going for hundreds of USD on ebay. Act Fast,

It wouldn't even be hard to make. Unless the shield is custom made.
