8GB and 32GB is fine for now.

It's using NAND Flash (the same memory in SSD's) so it's already faster than any hard drive out there. And as the price of NAND flash goes down Ninty will think about making bigger models. It's just not feasable at the moment.

But at least you can add on any HDD you like.

The main differenance GDDR5 will have over DDR3 is faster loading memory.

This will mean better Antistophic Filtering, less 'Pop-up' and better loading times.

The textures themselves though will be very similar on both systems.

If I had I higher budget I would have gone for a higher CPU, i'm sure the 8400 is great for the price, but from what i've read this one suits my budget.

Also the graphics cards you've linked are all high end, sometimes costing double what the 9800GT is, again, i've not got money to blow so i've got what I can. I do intend to upgrade the RAM to 4GB as you're right, it's dirt cheap nowadays.

But, from the specs i've listed. Is this enough to run crysis and other games at semi-decent settings?

Ok, so i've brought a budget rig, a local computer store is building it for me. Not picked it up yet though so can't test it. Was planning on playing through Crysis or any releases etc but not sure how well it will run before I buy it.

Heard some very good things about this CPU, new 45nm and Wolfdale Core, can OC to 4Ghz on air. Outperforms some Core 2 Duos :). I can dump another 2gb of RAM in there if it's needed and a get a SB Audigy 4 I have from my old computer. Will be running XP pro for now too.

Cost me £309.

Monitor only supports 1280 res at the min but getting a new one soon so will be good for higher res. So, what settings should I be able to play newer games?

Need some help here as one of the office comps are playing up.

I keep getting BSODs with the errors IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

These seem to happen often but randomly, even if the computer is idle.

From the Google searches I've made people seem to think it's dodgy drivers or bad RAM. I'm either gonna try different RAM or run Memtest86 at some point. But thought I would post here to see what you guys think.

I've done a Windows repair to no avail, not installed any new software / drivers for a while either.

I'm leaning towards the bad RAM side of things myself.
