@xhawk27 @Techtroll planetside 2 is free. if a free 2 play game does it, its understandable even if one doesnt like it, the developers do need to make money. however, when a full retail game that charges $60 does it, its plain cheap. so it's not the same thing, dude.

@aovannor @naserc cutting it fine, maybe. but i think its accurate. if u look at the growth in digital sales, it makes sense that more and more games would be sold online. plus, for backlog games, that will b even more true as publishers would be less willing to spend money manufacturing disks that may not sell for old games, and invest that money on disks for new games. hence, for backlog games, with time, u'll c a greater percentage being sold as digital, both for consoles and pc.

@aovannor the backlog games and digital sales are not mutually exclusive. so for example, if they sold a copy of assassin's creed 2 on steam for $10, it would be only $10 of sale, not $10 for backlog and $10 for digital for a total of $20.
