The 360 is a great system and I hope it goes down as one of the better consoles in the game industry's history. Reasons why I believe that 360 is a better system than the other 2:

1.) There are good games coming out EVERY month for the 360. It was a bit slow out the gate but now it's just insane. Every month I can think of a new game that is worth spending money on, whether it's from arcade or it's an expansion or otherwise. Sorry but my Wii is starting to collect dust because it still only has 2 really good games out right now, Zelda and Paper Mario, and a bunch of VC games that I've beaten 10 years ago. As for PS3, don't need to go there.

2.) Wii has a cool controller but in reality Nintendo first party games are going to use it the best while other games probably won't. Expect Metroid, Mario, Zelda, etc. to be good, but in reality the Wii is not good at handling "real" games like the other systems because of it's controller and it's horsepower. You'll never see a Halo 3 or Mass Effect caliber game on the Wii. This doesn't mean the Wii is a bad system, it just means that it's more catered to casual gamers. As for PS3, I'm still waiting to see a reason besides Blu-Ray (I'll give the Sony boys that one, Blu-Ray is pretty sweet)

3.) Xbox Live is amazing. I've downloaded movies, TV shows, demos, arcade games, and played tons of hours on multiplayer. It costs money because it's a stable service and it's very well maintained. PSN is SO cheesy, yeah it's free but that doesn't say much when you compare it to Live. Wii will never have decent online except for SSBB and the various channel stuff.

4.) The future lineup is incredible. DMC4, GTAIV, Halo 3, Rock Band, Mass Effect, Blue Dragon, Lost Oddyssee, Forza 2, Fable 2, Bioshock, Half-Life 2 Orange, it's just great. I feel like I always have something to look forward to on 360. The other systems I feel like I have to sit around and wait until something good comes out.

Those are my big reasons. Feel free to criticize.

People can come up with conspiracy theories for anything if they put their minds to it. Seriously. 9/11 was not an inside job. Some people just can't wrap their minds around the magnitude of that tragedy and the seriousness of terrorism, so they try to rationalize and say it's all Bush's fault, which I find to be ludicrous even if I don't support everything Bush does. The same people who say 9/11 was an inside job are likely to be some of the same people who think Bush has a secret weather machine and caused Hurricane Katrina because he's racist.

The problem with that list is that it isn't bad; it's just that your relying on games that we know NOTHING about. Afrika? Killzone 2? 8 days? Getaway 3? A sci-fi girlfriend simulator? I'll give PS3 Home, major kudos to Sony for making a really cool online service that can go against Xbox Live. Other than that, the PS3's future is mysterious and we only know of a couple big blockbuster titles that WILL be good: MGS4, Ratchet and Clank and FFXIII. Those titles are the only things that I would buy a PS3 for, that and if Blu-Ray ends up being the next format. Open your eyes man, Sony is in deep dog crap and now with DMC4 coming to 360 things are getting a bit bleaker for the 600$ system.

I guess I'm a bit prejudiced towards "emo" behavior because of people I know who have gone through terrible things and are still normal people. One person I talk to, she's one of the nicest, smartest, most upbeat people to talk to. She's been kicked out of her family, lost her best friends and she almost died of mono. Compare that to your average emo kid.

That's understandable...it isn't something I intended to critisize you over though...so sorry if I did somewhere. But this person sounds pretty resilliant...that's impressive she can still keep positive...

Nah man don't sweat about it. I just have my opinions, that's all.

Emo is basically Goth-lite. It involves listening to underground emo/punk bands, dressing up in dark colors, usually growing your hair out (if you're a guy), being extremely moody and somewhat self-destructive. It also involves some bisexual behavior. That's pretty much the stereotype, but I don't think anybody really KNOWS what emo is. Same thing as preppy, you can't pinpoint what it is but you know it when you see it.

Fortier

The bisexual behavior part was just plain wrong...I don't know whereyou  pulled that from...and I don't see it having any relation to goth either...but other than that, you nailed the description of a stereotypical emo kid.

I read the bisexual part somewhere, I know that in the more extreme "emo" circles it's popular. It's one of the stereotypes of emo guys, that they are secretly bisexual or gay in some way. Not saying that they are, I was just trying to nail the stereotype based on society's perceptions of "emo".

[QUOTE="mynameisjosh657"]The problem I see with emo kids is that most of them have NEVER been through anything traumatic other than "people don't understand me" or "life sucks I hate school blah blah". Life starts to suck when people you love either die or disappear from your life forever. And if stuff like that HAS happened to you, being all emo about it and getting into the lifestyle and fashions won't make it better. Fortier

You're right about most emo kids around, but losing people close to you isn't the only way life would get terrible (though it really does intensify it exponentially).

Call me stupid, but I'm curious...

What do people view emos as nowadays? I know that emo means "emotional", but what other traits do people think they have?

1337_ownage

I think Emo is more than emotional. Most people are emotional now days. I think it's more connected with Pessimistic, over dramatic, stuff like that.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. What people call "emo" is actually what should be called "scene". It basically is what Tolwan said. Dramatic, pessimistic...whiny. I can't say that I know what real emo is, though.

to me emo is someone who seems depressed and prefers rock music (or something like it), who usually prefers the color black
