First time back here on Gamespot since Giantbomb happened. I feel weird. digi_matrix
I know, right? Just look at these ugly ass forums. I can see why Giant Bomb doesn't have animated gifs and signatures. They are kludgy as hell.

I don't understand why when Folding@Home is still an option in Life with PlayStation. O_O

Marketing and Branding. Before the PS3 came out all us Sony fanboys would read anything about Playstation 3. A bunch of articles saying it was gonna save lives come along and BAM you've got people reading about folding@home. Then they buy a PS3 and it has folding@home right in the XMB. One day it disappears without notice and something you've never heard of shows up called Life with Playstation. Without brand recognition it doesn't gain an audience. It shows up less and less in people currently playing status and that lowers the recognition ever more.

I remember a guy on my friends list who used f@h all the time but then when it disappeared and I was using Lw/P he sent me a message asking what it was. He had no clue. It doesn't help that the first thing to appear when you start it up is a world map with news from all over. I don't think the average gamer cares about global news and probably turns it off before checking out the rest of the program.

There was a thread about senior gamers on the official warhawk forums, and turns out warhawk has 3 guys in their 70's playing. Oldest I know is a 46 year old brick layer from alabama.

People often mispronounce my name as moosepippy. One guy (he was the number 1 player at warhawk at the time) liked the name and the 2 of us were stomping the other team 2v5 so he added me. I was ranked 182 at the time. For my Japanese account I make fun of myself. TheCentaur is my Japanese PSN, and I say "I'm a man but I'm a horse from the waste down, cause I'm TheCentaur."

Wow, you don't really get videogames at all, do you????

yeah cmon...wouldnt it be better to win a war about "who is actually a better gamer", and get actual games ?

I still have fun with my games. I play Rock Band and Rock Band 2 with my roommates, and I have done Motorstorm and Burnout races with the guys I'm waring with. Was clanmates with one of them for 6 months in warhawk before the clan fell apart. I won't grind for some trophy just to get up on them. I get good games and have fun with them while trying to achieve a goal. If at the end of the day I'm not ahead, then that's a reason to continue playing a good game, or give up and get another good game.

Are you serious?

One guy on my friends list has 28 games with trophies while another has 16. I only have 8, but I'm only trailing them by a little bit. One game could put me ahead. I will get KZ2, but they both have it preordered already, and I know they will end up getting Uncharted 2, which I also intend on getting, so they will stay ahead if I buy any non trophy games.

Most games run in 720p or 1080i. Some do run in 1080p. It's all up to the developer to decide what they want to use. I'm sure they take into account how good they want it to look, versus the cost of developing the superior image.

Well, If you have the new 80GB then it's absolutely useless for you since you can't play PS2 games on it.
