imho, Mobile gaming is complimentary to console and pc gaming. Yes there are some great mobile games out, but the experience just isn't as good as kicking back on the couch while blasting away on the big screen. I couldn't imagine playing something like witcher 2 on a mobile platform with smaller than a 15" screen.
Can't believe so many people still play counter strike. So many FSP's have been released since it's inceptions and yet I still find myself coming back. Counter strike is a classic that set the standard for FSPs
I have a wii u and it is a pretty fun console to play. I also own a recently updated pc gaming rig, 360, ps3, ipad 4, nexus 7 and a kindle fire. I love my gadgets, and playing games on them. The overall feel of the wii tablet controller vs my other tablets is that it is cheaply made. However it is pretty cool how it is integrated into gameplay, future games will have the potential to be pretty good with the use of the 2nd screen.
Imho the wii u was rushed into production for the holiday season, and it feels like it needed a little more time to get the system dialed in. My wii u has frozen a 4 or 5 times when loading games and it required me to unplug it to restart the system. Holding the power button didn't reset it like other systems. Another negative for me about the wii u is the lack of an ethernet port. I love using wifi on my ipad, laptop, nexus and other devices but for gaming I prefer using powerline or direct ethernet connection, it's faster than wifi and more consistent as far as signal strength. The wii u is a very good system from nintendo, but the released version is unpolished and needs to mature. Personally I feel Nintendo is gonna need every bit of the headstart it has over it's competition if the rumors of how powerfully capable the ps4 and xbox 720 are true.
Zombie U is pretty meh... I spent the last hour playing the game. There are a few things I like. One is when you die that character is dead. Two, and this is related to one, when you respawn your is someone else and you get to kill the previous character you were because they come back as a zombie.
As far as game play, the use of the tablet to manage inventory for swapping weapons, items, and using tools is kind of cool. But the drawback to the action is the combat kind of sucks. Swinging a melee weapon is cumbersome and slow. Shooting a zombie directly in the head it often does not kill them and requires you waste 2 or 3 precious rounds to put them down. The game is very unpolished and does not show case what the action and graphics could be. I've seen titles on the wii look whole lot better than this. The nintendo land game is pretty fun and my nieces, whom I intended the console to be used by the most, seem to like it a lot.
