I had this problem and called Nintendo about it. They sent me a shipping label and had my wii back in about 2 weeks.. didnt spend a dime. They ask you to write a description of the problem and send it along with the wii. When I got it back there was a note saying "We didn't find anything wrong with your Wii." I was about to go apesh!t but then it said "... so we replaced everything that could cause such a problem" which included the main circuit board and fan which is just about everything. Really top-shelf service from Nintendo.
When you assign the controllers to each team make sure that underneith the controllers it says Advanced mode and NOT party mode or Family mode or whatever it is. I think pushing up and down toggles between these.. also the game manual is a great thing.
Party Mode = ONLY USING THE WII REMOTE - this is a super simplified version of the game where the computer does all the moving for you. You are only responsible for a few motions.
Advanced Mode = MUST HAVE THE NUNCHUCK PLUGGED IN - this is the normal version of madden. Use the nunchuck to move your players around and use the motions etc etc etc
I can't believe the number of idiots saying that there is going to be a price drop. THEY CANT KEEP THEM ON THE SHELVES WHY WOULD THEY DROP THE PRICE???
I can't believe the number of idiots who are waiting for a wii price drop b/c the 360 and ps3 had them... No company in there right mind would lower the price of a product that they can't keep on the shelves for more than an hour. Microsoft and Sony did it b/c their console sales were floundering.
