I think it's now safe to say that Chris E. Hayner's review is best described as a hot take (presumably from someone that hates Resident Evil video game canon and lore) that doesn't remotely reflect the vast majority of people's opinions. I mean this thing is, with 12,000+ votes, at 3.5/10 on imdb. Not a single episode even makes it to 5/10, and season finale is currently at 3.3/10(!).

Really only the first season (which I think was just 6 episodes) was genuinely top tier zombie entertainment. Hershel's Farm was already boring, and really that is when I should have stopped watching. For zombie fans, be sure to check out Korea's "All of Us are Dead" on Netflix (not the dubbed version!). Good stuff.

@mooglestar: Well that would depend entirely how much time you spend in each. For people who only play multiplayer or the campaign it would NOT be an 8.5 overall, since they don't play game in a balanced manner.

Think about all the jokes he makes at expense of white folks in this same standup (not to mention previous routines). This is what "equality" is - you can't demand both equality and protection since this is obviously antithetical to what "treating everyone the same" means.

@fortesque: C'mon man, Ubisoft is just sticking to what they know their customers want - most of whom buy two or three games per year. Original gameplay is plentiful in indy titles.

@Utnayan: I'm about 4 hours or so in. Zero woke so far. It is relentlessly "cute and adorable" though. Combat is Souls-like, and I'm finding it pretty tough going on medium difficulty 'cos I suck at those types of games (about as hard as Jedi: Fallen Order).

The irony of calling out the "white savior" by a white dude is obviously totally lost by the author.

@Zombie8814: Okay, yes it's GoT (although most people would think Game of Thrones). I never played it so had no idea how it is spelled and went for phoenetic.

@bdrtfm: The number of people that played it should have no bearing on the decision. The best game is the "best" game. Just because you didn't play it makes no difference. For the record I didn't (because I couldn't) play GoS or TLoU Pt 2 because I'm a PC gamer.

@Sammy296: I get you're being sarcastic. But funnily enough this review has probably had more attention than most... albeit for all the wrong reasons. For sure the unusual traffic/attention for Kallie's review might make it look like pure gold. However, I'm not sure that you can grow your audience (let alone credibility) by posting cringe hot takes from reviewers that don't like the genre they're being tasked to review.
