@Slade968 @SirSlimyScrotum That's what I'm saying. I think it looks awesome, but I probably won't rush out day one and get it, much less go the preorder route. Hopefully that will change if there ever comes a Titanfall 2!
@SirSlimyScrotum Preorders are largely for mega fans anyway (like myself with Halo). Few are going to preorder a game they know nothing about yet. I guarantee Modern Warfare's preorders were't outrageous back in 07' either.
@bat725 Good point! I've never been a COD guy. Truthfully, I've probably played 4 rounds of COD multiplayer since its inception. However, I have played LOADS of Halo; been a fan since 2001in fact. I have been really excited about Titanfall and Destiny. I've always preferred the SciFi genre, so I think what you're saying has validity.
That's hilarious! I loved Fable and Fable 2. However, Fable 3 suffered from being rushed. It needed another year of development. Nevertheless, I think this remake will be worth the time! I hope they include extra content.
I agree The_Beanster, I am not that competitive when it comes to Halo MP so I loved the social lists. It seems like 343 and Bungie often leave what works behind in lieu of innovation. Invasion, Alpha Zombies, many of the Action Sack game types, and the ranked/social MP lists were all very popular, but were for whatever reason, abandoned. They should add to what works while remaining the great innovators that they are.
I thinks Spartan Ops is awesome! It is a great way to progress the story and keep the game fresh. Furthermore, it is a good companion to multiplayer. I don't doubt there will be a season two and possibly a three before the release of Halo 5. 343 would be wise to introduce the Arbiter in at least an appearance role to maybe whip the Elite sect into shape; and obviously an appearance of the Chief and missions playing along side Fire-team Majestic would be amazing!
Halo CE is the reason I bought my first Xbox and the reason why I have played every Halo since it's inception through campaign, multiplayer, and everything in between (even ODST and Halo Wars). Halo 4 was the best Halo since Halo 2, but 343 should't deprive fans of what Bungie did well. For instance, removing the teammate death indicator is a pain and not allowing the classic 4-player multiplayer split-screen were steps in the wrong direction and 343 should feature those again in Halo 5. With that said, Spartan Ops, the new ranking system, and the graphics are all incredible additions! 343, leave what works well and keep innovating!
