@Chernnunos: True, but I would like to see Nintendo Switch releases to let me play these games 'on the go'. I want a portable gaming system more powerful than new 3DS XL and PS Vita with good third-party support (looking for WWE 2K18, NHL 18, CoD: Infinite Warfare, etc). I am sure this would make devs some money, and make the Switch a more desirable release target.
I have PS3/PS4+Vita but remote play requires a persistent wireless connection to the internet on the client side. Also - not all games have this feature enabled.
@iandizion713: Would love the option to have "black" backgrounds to everything, to save a little battery and prevent eyestrain in dark environments (train after work, night-time gaming in bedroom, etc). Pink is nice but would make my eyes bleed! :)
@kaminobenimizu: I want to see some sports titles (NHL 18), WWE 2K18, and some shooters (CoD Infinite Warfare?) on the Switch. My NHL and WWE games on ***PSP*** need updating! :)
@mickpunx: I signed up 9+ years ago, and have been inactive for the last 5 (till I visited a few days ago). It is a very different place, as per @DVONvX.
@Gbullet: 720p/30fps un-docked is nothing to sneeze at - most PS Vita games ran at 960x544 (link). I own Wipeout 2048, and it looks great at 960x544...imagine it in 1280x720p! I'm waiting to see how "Fast RMX" will look in portable mode (since another portable Wipeout game may never come).
@timothyt: FYI, from GamingBolt.com - "...the PS4 and Xbox One versions employ a dynamic resolution buffer. The PS4 version runs in the range of 960 X 1080p to a full 1920 X 1080p resolution ... Xbox One runs from 960 X 1080p to 1390 X 1080p...performance wise, both versions target a 60 frames per second...PS4 version which runs pretty close to that standard."
@edhc44: Good to know - I agree that not everything needs/should have Netflix, but I am sure you can understand the need for it on a game console. YouTube is like the players guides of 2017 - and with games getting so difficult/long, some players (me!) need all the help they can get! Having YT access via Wii U was amazing - just pause the game, hit the home button, and use the gamepad to access the browser and find helpful videos online. No need to switch TV inputs away from your game (if your TV has YouTube), pick up a phone or tablet, or fire up a laptop. Simple, efficient, quick.
@edhc44: That's true (I have multiple sets on my computers and laptops) - but my point was that the mouse/keyboard is not required if the game device has YouTube built-in with a decent software keyboard.
