Canada did NOT deserve to win. At ALL. DA_B0MB
This game was even (shots 39-36 for Canada) but dominated in OT by the team who won. The round robin game was far less even (shots 45-23 for Canada) as Canada clearly had an edge but Brodeur couldn't control the puck at all. So yes, Canada absolutely deserved to win.

Im not a huge Rockets fan or anything but Id say he's one of the best this year, if not in the top 5. He also makes alot of 3s. Its funny how points, rebounds, ectpercentage can be .anything.

For example, 20.5 points a game....how can you average 20 and half (.5) points? Theres no such thing as a half of anything in the NBA. When I see players percentages I always round them off. 19.6 a game? Come on now we say 20. He's gotten 20 points before anyway. All good scores do.

Enough with these silly .1-9 %s.

wildcat2000
If he scores 20 points in his first game, and 21 in his second, how many points per game does he average?

I actually didn't mind that move. Morrow was in a weird situation where it was impossible for him to succeed in Seattle. It didn't matter what he did. As long as he was in a Mariners uniform, he'd forever be known as "that guy Bavasi took instead of local boy Lincecum".

League isn't going to succeed in Toronto anyways, and his 96mph sinker would be a better fit in Safeco Field than in Roger's Centre (known for being hitting friendly). The trade is more of swapping pieces that doesn't fit with their former team.

The problem with League is that it doesn't matter if the wall is 300 or 1000 feet away if you can't throw a strike.

On a somewhat related note... how far up does this deal drive Lincecum's arbitration value?

This is me doing my happy dance. *does happy dance*

I forecast a wave of newborn babies in the Seattle area being named Jackie Z in the coming months.

Bama will crush Texas because Texas are not that good. And the point I am making is that TCU should play Bama. Thats the better match-up. Boise vs. Texas is a more even game, and I would say Cincinnati deserve a title shot more than Texas. This is just the BCS at work, which always seems to suck. It takes all the fun out of the Bowl games because they don't let these teams prove themselves against real compettition.

As for Texas going undefeated in the big 12, so what? The Big 12 was not significantly better than the Mountian West this year anyway.TCU also had more wins against ranked teams. And remember: TCU beat BYU, who murdered Oklahoma. The same Oklahoma team that Texas had to limp to the finish line against. Alabama would likely beat TCU as well, but that does not mean they should not be the ones going to Pasadena.

Espurs117

Beating Oklahoma by one point is murdering them? And when Sam Bradford went down? Please.

And Texas played the 44th toughest schedule in the country. TCU played the 84th toughest schedule. Texas' opoonents also had a higher winning percentage than TCU's. The only argument you can make is that both teams were undefeated, and in this case I think the tiebreaker goes to Texas.

lol I love how no one responded to this.

Teams like TCU and Boise State can't strengthen their schedule because no one will play them. People say SEC or Big 12 teams shouldn't play Boise because it's not worth it, yet bring up SOS in every argument. It's not their fault they have a weaker SOS on the basis of a weaker conference.

They beat a mediocre team by one point, big deal.GamerForca
How is the #15 team mediocre? Are only SEC teams considered good?

[QUOTE="DA_B0MB"]

I want Halladay on the Yankees so bad. My offer would be Phil Hughes, Jesus Montero, and if it helped at all I'd throw in a 3rd round pick for 2011. Jesus Montero would be the jewel of the trade from the Yankees, but my reasoning for coughing him up is that I think Joe Mauer wouldn't mind being baseballs highest paid catcher. That's of course a big assumption, but I really can't see Mauer not cashing in big time at the peak of his career.

NetYankEagle
hughes an montero for Halladay? I wouldnt do it. I think Halladay is the best Pitcher in the majors but trading away these guys for halladay i wouldnt do. But i do hope we get Halladay w/o trading Joba/Montero/Jackson/Hughes/cabrera/cano

Who exactly are you going to trade then? hah

[QUOTE="iowastate"]I was running a CFL Union back when Ricky Williams went to Toronto for a year and I heard several comments along the lines of "he would never play here".

It is true that work visa situations are not the same but I do not think the Michael Vick has tried the CFL yet and will not until attempts with all NFL squads have been exhausted.bytgames

Williams wasn't a convicted felon.

this is a moot point, because there are atleast 6 NFL teams that are interested in vick...he will play in the NFL if he is reinstated....but vick isnt a convicted felon in canada....

You're a convicted felon in the whole world regardless of where you did it. We don't just let convicts come in our country because they didn't do it here.

The Bears seem to be making all of the right moves

First they trade for a QB and now they grab a top tier lineman

Has started 46 out of a possible 48 games in the last 3 seasons so you know the durability is there

Knowledge is power!

Jaysonguy
Pace has only played 23 games the past 3 seasons. He missed half of 06 and all of 07. Great lineman though.
