I believe that the management from back then is not the same as today so that's why they can talk more freely. That's what I assume is the case.

[QUOTE="tealmantis793"]Heads up! Alex Navarro is leaving Screened to join Giant Bomb in their move to CBS. No news on Rorie.c_rake

He's not writing for Screened anymore? Wow. Thought he'd keep writing for both sites.

Screened and Giant Bomb have been acquired by two different companies, so it would be crazy if he kept working for both.

I believe Rorie will still work on Screened for a while.

So, people who are deep into GameSpot: who is still working on GS that was working here in 2008?

[QUOTE="madrunner"]

we all should sign a on-line petition..a petition for either getting Jeff back or for a complete "re-building" of GS staff..Grieverr

If it's integrity that Jeff was fired for, I'd lose all respect for him if he accepted coming back. How could you go back to work for the place that fired you in the first place for not doing away with your journalistic integrity?

Also, why rebuild the GS staff? They, more than likely, had absolutely nothing to do with his termination.

When i said "re-building" GS staff, i wasn't refering to the people we see in OTS or who do reviews, previews. i wasn't refering to the people we know, but yes the people behind GS and, in a larger picture, people behind CNET.

I've open GS today for the first time in almost 2 weeks..and i get this bomb on my hands..i am still in state of shock..i've read and listen few about this subject but my opinion is already defined. And no, i'm not going to leave GS.

we all should sign a on-line petition..a petition for either getting Jeff back or for a complete "re-building" of GS staff..we, the faithful users of GS, should have a word on this. In fact, we, subscribers or non-subscribers, are the one's that make GS work..If it wasn't for us GS didn't exist right??!! So let's start this expedition. All together we can make the difference...

[QUOTE="dave003"]I too have a bunch of possible outcomes that I could state with no evidence or analysis whatsoever.L_G_X

ROFL

On the other hand i believe that the wii will lose its appeal as true gamers will begin too see it as something that just appeals to the casual consumers who will probably play it for a month and then stick it in the basement.

People are saying that since wii launch. And guess what: It's been a year and people who bought the wii a year ago continues to play it so....

And hey, I don't own a wii. I don't own a xbox360 or a ps3 or anyother console. I play PC games...
