It was nothing unique about this pad back in 2012 except that its not multitouch. now its 2013 and its even worse. If they came with it in 2006 than yeah it would be revolutionary. We all have touch pads now in form of our phones.
Nintendo is in dreamland seriously .This system will only become viable when its between 150 -180 dollar mark or 100 pounds here in uk than its worth it. We have to look at it as the actual worth of this hardware.
If this guy thinks that by reducing slightly people will dive in doves he is seriously dreaming....

@OurSin-360 Just play it on your PC Titafall that is. And eventually it will come out on PS4 .Its only a time exclusive.
I will play it on my 16 gig ram FX8350 4.6 GH and Nvidia 780 . Might even get another one for SLi... Dont need Xbox. Ps4 i will use for Sony and console specific games. There is convergence of mediums. And If I get another 780 than i can probably play it in 2560 x 1440 resolution.
And Star Citizen or Project Eternity is PC only so one has to have a good PC.
@gilldominic @lulababy not so straight forward. I have seen and been part of console wars for over 30 years . Spectrum vs C64 , amiga vs St, Snes vs Sega and PC elitism and psx vs Saturn .... Truly nothing has changed in its viciousness however one can spot and smell bullshit when one sees one now after seeing it all ... And let me tell you that Microsoft is full of it.
Sad part is that some dont see it and blindly follow this fallen giant ( that is all they have left now as they dont inovate anymore just live of Works and windows licenses ) . first they told you: screw you now they want to be your best friend. Great interview . Very measured and honest appraisal of the situations with frank statements. You know what every time Playstation people speak it comes out professional down to earth and believable . And he is correct with regards to Ps vision and direction. It has been clrystal clear and solid from day one. Its all about gamers etc. I love Sony and their first party studios and what theiy are doing now. Its like Sony from 1995 is back. Thanks god for that. I missed it.
Cant see myslef ever purchasing Microsoft product ever again. Sony games are more uinique and original than any Ms effort . And paying others to make games for you like EA and Crytek I dont think its the best solution forward. Those games in 6 to 8 moths will be multiplatform and forgotten . You cant ride in Halo , forza and Gears all the time. Thst is what they have. Having both systems now (ps3 us and uk and xbox uk and *** ) i find that hardly have touched my xboxes in 12 months and only use *** one for the Cave shooters etc and Otomoedius G. Bu my Ps3is constantly in use as ther is more variety on it and games by Sony studios are unparerel plus there just more games on it that i like ...
I dont see myself uying into false microsoft dream that can potentially turn into nightmare in few years time when they will bring all these lovely features they abandonned now.
Plus new Sakaguchi RPG will be PC and Ps4 so really having my PC and Ps4 Im fine.
@uglypinkmoose @moodyfoo Nintendo has done a lot to be hated in fact. 80s and 90s deliberate blackmail and terrible labour practises of developers who wanted to develop for PC Engine or Sega. That if they would develop for them than they wont have permission to develop for Nintendo. Hence PC Engine went nowhere and other *** manufacturers as well.
How about charging extorsion rates 40 percent to develop games for it. Why do you think Square broke out ? and rest followed after/
Nintendo is guilty of one of the wore labour practises in industry topping everyone with its arrogance. This legacy follows them now as developers and publishers remember , one of the reasons it never had a proper 3rd party support. This goes years back.
So all those Ninty fans who see it s some kind of white and shiny knight in shining armour oif the industry you need to get a reality check.
@instigator81 They are too arrogant and know it all to change. They have their heads right up their asses. Nothing will change. Same people who were there 20 years ago are still there. Nothing will budge . I think they really rode on a lot of good since N64 games and out of nowhere struck gold with Wii as casuals and housewives bought it as it was cheap and had revolutionary motion controls never seen before.
Now there is nothing to buy it for. touch pad is a gimmick we are alrready used to and multitouch at that , and this system failed to grab peoples imaginations. No matter how hard Ninty fanboys will defend it its just subpar in every dept. They even stuck to region coding anachronism from bygone age ...
I havent bought Nintendo and their games since SNES days and really i dont feel like have missed out on anything ... Its just nostalgia from bygone age keeps "old guard " getting it for theeit latest Mario, Luigi who have become stale as a weeks bread....
@19James89 @AlexFili well however you loook at it the pad is a "gimmick" as you put it and console is poorly designed from hardware and software side. Online infrastructure is extremly poor your and system is slow to load and do anything really.
System failed to grab peoples imagination as it doesnt have any wow factor.
As for me personaly ,I live in UK so system is sold for £149/199 now in some shops but that is still too expensive for what it is. I for example will wait till it gets to maybe £80/100 and get it then in fire sale.
I think it will get there as none will buy it for price its being sold, just too expensive for what it is.
@doc-brown @lulababy I have played it at Comicon London and I really liked it. It was fun crazy *** game that i miss this gen . Im tired of endless shooters and generic Assassins CReeds... I like this quirky stuff. It might not be perfect, but its fun . I will take it any day over CoD ,any of them ot Gears Of War shite which for me is 3.5. I think just maybe when you review a game why dont you make an alternative review so people can look at from different perspective. I think a game which gets 3.5 from reviewer warrant s perhaps a second look from someone else....
How can you give this game of all game to review to a woman called Heidi Kemps. Its japanese game with loverly art by Vofan to which I have art book to. But its aimed at males ! half undressed girls in there , quirky battle system , its not a masterpiece but its NOT 3.5. ITsan easy 7.0 or 6.8 . iTs charming , lovely to look at and has stunning music. I dont need 1080p graphics to have fun with game and this is a lovely lovely game ....
Shame on GAMESPOT to give it to this Heidi.
This should have been reviewed by a very japanocentric and jrpg loving person who understands its intricacies.
