Dishonored is a game that invites you to play it more than once, what I would usually do is play however I feel like the first time, then on later playthroughts play how with some goals and objectives in minddoubalfa
Fact. There is a LOT going on in this game. I couldn't have found all the awesome extras and cool details on one playthrough if that was my sole goal.

I really don't play old games THAT often anyway. I'll get at least Injustice in a couple weeks and Last of Us when it comes out, and probably be done with them by the time I get a PS4 (not necessarily at its launch). It doesn't actually matter if it has backwards compatibility because I don't have one now, thus I will be playing good PS3 games until I get one, and once I do, I'll be playing PS4 games.

Can't wait for Injustice.

Agreed, if you're a fighting game fan a major release like this is all you need in a month, maybe two or three. Also: AoE2HD looks cool (nice comparison video that goes over the new changes here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljIHpnPZMoA ), and the Dishonored DLC is gonna be sweet (new story content!). Definitely not a bad month, considering it's a new console year.

Just saw a post on PC forums showing a scene in one of the hallways where it's sped up by 1000% and there's hidden audio in the ambient noise. The game might have some crazy meta-secrets still to find. If you really loved it it could be worth holding on to if you're into that sort of thing. I know I'm intrigued.

This is legit, I've recorded a bit in the raven house and sped it up to 900%. You can hear a song playing. I even got a different song, or a different part of the music

Now THAT is crazy. Gonna have to take a long, hard look at my own Let's Plays for crazy secrets if they're putting this kind of stuff in. In a good way. Nice find, and thanks for the share!

I feel like if you aren't liking them right out of the gate, whichever one you're playing, they're probably not for you. The idea is to be cinematic and movie-like, and to be drawn into the characters and settings like they were from a big-budget action film, only you get to play as the star. If you aren't feeling that vibe early on, I'm not sure that will change as time goes on. I love them personally, but totally get why people don't. They are definitely love-it-or-leave-it games.

My Let's Play of Bioshock Infinite is in my signature. Blind run, trying to provide useful commentary without being overbearing. I'd love to hear feedback on how people think I'm doing.

I can't think of anything. I might play around with the driver and see what happens. Any idea which setting might affect the light shafts? I've got an nvidia card.x-2tha-z
The only time I've seen something like that personally was when I messed with the .ini files on Skyrim, regarding shadows. You might try the driver like you said, and then maybe adjust some of your video card settings out of game and see if that causes any changes. I believe nvidia released a driver update specificly when Infinite launched.

I'm throwing my hat in with people who don't think this is such a bad idea. In fact, beyond Lucasarts just not making much good of late, the fact that they will now have to outsource Star Wars COULD be awesome, akin to new Star Wars movies not directed by Lucas. Of course, just like the new movies, they COULD suck, but it's at least a chance versus no chance.

I think they're different enough that they aren't quite comparable as something like, say FPS vs FPS, making this thread potentially more of a, "do you like tight, streamlined FPSs or sandbox FPSs?" than it might appear. Far Cry had a lot more RPG elements and a vastly different playstyle because of the freeform sandbox, whereas Bioshock Infinite is an entirely different beast centered around tight environments and highly-scripted gameplay events. Personally, I think it does both a disservice to compare them directly as FPSs.
