@CapnXtraObvious Wow. That was clever. Nope. no it wasn't. Maybe the game is a mature rated game that is immature because besides "blood and gore" and "violence" the things that got the game the rating are immature things. The problem is with the rating system and what they call "mature", not with the game. You are missing the point. Trying to sound clever by putting your own spin on things is not a hard thing to do.
I own the PS4, XO, and PC versions and the PS4 version is really close but definitely doesn't look as good as the PC version. The only thing wrong with the PC version is that it lacks AA options. The only AA option is to downscale. The PS4 has shadows that are close to High setting on PC. Both the PS4 and XO versions have horrible mesh pop in that the PC version doesn't have if you force Mesh Detail to Ultra. The Vegetation on PC is far better and more dense with the PS4 version not far behind. The XO versions vegetation is very sparse. The Ultra textures on PC do look better and there is a difference. They are uncompressed versions of the High textures (which seem to be 4096x4096 with 2048x2048 textures in some places). So if you can't downscale then the PC version has more aliasing but other then that it is better in every area over the console versions. Basically you can't even see what the differences are from a video like this one. You'd actually have to focus on the shadows, vegetation, meshes, etc in order to see the differences.
The PC version in this video doesn't even have the gamma set correctly. It makes the PS4 version look far better simply because of all the detail the PC loses by not having the gamma correct. My PC version looks far better then their PC version. The PC version is clearly the winner if you actually own the game and compare it. Nice try Gamespot. I can't believe that people actually believe these videos. The best part is that even in "HD" the video is so compressed that all of the versions look far worse then their real counterparts. You can't make out any of the details in any of these versions.
@Gen007 @ABIBASS @Spid3r6 Actually nope. It's still just 900p upscaled to 1080p. If you had both versions you would be able to see the difference. This video however does nothing to help you compare them.
@jimthev THe video is highly compressed even in HD the actual game looks far better. It's impossible to make out any real detail from this video which is not a problem with the game itself.
@Derugs Duh. The point is that you are never supposed to be off your guard. They want you to be constantly paying attention. You miss the point. It's good you're out of the community.
Game is going to be amazing. It's just too bad that it isn't exclusive to Playstation like past games where it will actually be appreciated. I guarantee it is all the Microsoft fans that are already complaining about Quiet's outfit and her being OP. Microsoft fans are ungrateful. They complain about everything. Just look at Destiny. They get the game too and yet all they do is complain about stupid stuff. You don't deserve this game and yet you are getting it anyway. You're just going to complain about stupid things instead of enjoying the game. So why should you get it?
@JBLAZE916 My thoughts exactly. The review doesn't make any sense. They gave it the same score as the original. This version is 60fps and 1080p. The fact that it is 60fps does improve the game play considerably. The fact that you can lock the FPS to 30 and get more detailed shadows solidifies the fact that this should have been scored higher. It is better in every way to the original. I simply can't trust Gamespot anymore.
@Vienreich It sounds like you completely missed a whole set of features if you think that. Maybe somehow you got a different version. Oh wait I smell a "I'm going to hold my nose up high in the air while playing this game because I'm an RPG snob". You didn't even give it a chance did you. You didn't like before you even bought. You have NOT played anything like this before.
@gjozefi The combat actually feels quite fast paced if you are actually using your brain and trying to think of strategies of how to use all the interplaying systems together to beat your opponents. It's only slow if you are trying to rush through it. Why do I get the feeling that "tried" doesn't equate to "bought" here? I have a feeling that if you had actually bought the game then you would have liked and appreciated it more. It's hard to appreciate anything that comes so easily.
