But what about GTA4? That certainly wasn't released early, though it was obviously rushed in the end.

I find it very hard to believe that someone who has played the earlier gta games could NOT be disappointed by all the faults of gta 4 after years of delays.

Seems like some game developers should know their limitations and not bite off more than they can chew.

But as long as they get reviews and sales like that, why should they try harder?

WE PAY ENOUGH FOR GAMES, WE SHOULD NOT ACCEPT THIS CRAP!

Can we please stop talking about this? This debate is getting very old and people just keep bringing it up and never getting a straight answer.

By the way, a 10 out of 10 does not mean perfect. It just means the game exceeded expectations and left a strong impression on you and managed to be very memorable. GTA IV did that for millions and then there are people who didn't like the game. Big deal, let it go already.

couldn't have said it better my self

could have said it a little better my self but yours were ok :P

You guys complaining about the debate getting old don't HAVE to read the thread if you don't want to, do you?

I think it was DOWNRIGHT IMMORAL for gamespot and the others to give it a 10, encouraging rockstar to keep up the "good" work and getting a lot of people to buy it without question.

Some parts are great, but a lot of important things are WAY OFF

Hell NO!! Not only was the game not a 10, I think the game flat out sucked! As a long time GTA fan, I thought it brought the series backwards. San Andreas was WAY better...but Saints Row 1 & 2 stole the show.dondada469

The film grain option only exists in the lost & damned dlc. I agree that GTA 4 has very strange colour effects, sometimes everything turns orange, other times grey. I thought the orange maybe was to simulate sunset or sunrise but then I checked the time and it was mid-day. This game has so many glaring faults, it must be the most over-rated, over-hyped, over-anticipated ever

I agree completely, great game but a total departure from the great evolution they had going with the previous games. If you have followed the series you must have expected more, especially with the extremely delayed launch and the trailers that gave an impression of a 'living city' and bla bla bla

My last repair was only because it started making a noise like an electric drill (in addition to the usual 'blowdryer on medium' sound). At first they didn't want to repair it but since they had to agree that the problem might have been caused by them during a previous repair they gave in after some discussion. I'm on my fifth xbox 360, spent a ridiculous amount of time and energy calling and waiting for repairs and I AM CAREFUL AS #### WITH THE XBOX. I doesn't mean that I'm so committed to it, it's just that I can't give up when I've already spent so much time and it always seems like "THIS time it's fixed". Of course I would never have bought the piece of **** if I knew. A lot of great games, but the noise and the breakdowns ruined it for me
