@smackdowner360 There's no reason to defend the PS3 anymore...the PS3 is a year younger than the xbox yet it has outsold the Xbox 360 in total sales. That's why this doesn't make sense. The sales say the PS3 is selling more, yet the Xbox says it is....that's like saying "I'm the best shooter in this tournament" "Then why do you keep losing to Bob?"
@justinka777 The thing is it does. Children do what they see on TV. They go outside and play and do stupid things. Let's take a real life example, when I was as kid you would hear on the news all the time about kids killing other kids, accidentally, with WWF moves. They had neglectful parents and thought "This would be cool to do" so they grab their friend do a move and ended up killing them because they saw them on TV. I already stated this in another post. Who's going to teach you right from wrong if you don't have parents to guide you. If you are messed up in the head you will be influenced by games. "This game is fun, I hate my life, I should go kill people because it's so fun in the game."
Videogame violence is a problem in America. We have children who play these violent games and have no parental guidence on what's real and not real. If you don't have active parents then where are you learning your morals? You're learning them from the media. The bigger issue isn't games are bad, it's parents aren't teaching their kids good morals so they can handle the violent games. I also feel parents hide the world too much from their children. Trying to act llike bad things don't happen. Something I was taught early on wasn't true. I looked before I crossed the road because my mother told me "Kids die because they don't."
@LesserAngel @Venatorcruiser @Suaron_x They had no ideas from Doom. Just because they played it doesn't correlate to the murders they commited. Correlation does not mean causation. They were just depressed POS, confirmed by their parents, and they wanted to die and go out with a bang. This is very common among people who want to die. They want to bring people with them. They want to create a reason to kill themselves because they're afriad. So they commit an f'd up thing so they have the motivation to do it. Doom had no impact on these GROWN men. I could murder my neighbor and say the Bible gave me the motivation to do so...They were too old to be influenced by one media.
@LesserAngel @Venatorcruiser @Suaron_x No, Columbine was no influenced by Doom. People assumed it was because the two kids were big on playing Doom. So people wrongfully assumed they did this because Doom inspired them. No shooting in all of history was influenced by gaming. Those who commit crimes and say it was because of games are lying to try to justify their actions and get a lighter sentence.
