[QUOTE="SapSacPrime"]

[QUOTE="ManicAce"]Honestly something like the 360 arcade or whatever it's called now is so cheap and offers so many games that I'd be hard pressed to call it a bad investment.WilliamRLBaker

Of course its a bad investment it doesn't even have a hard drive or a head set :| you will end up paying more in the long run. You can build such a cheap pc now and not have to pay for live with the bonus of games being so much cheaper and looking far better, take L4D2 which I paid £4 for and Beat Hazard with all DLC which was £2 as a couple of examples from your playlist.

this post is defending the 360. False the 360 arcade is a good investment you can play every game except like 2 and the recent halo reach update gives the ability to play on every 360 system regardless of hard drive. The only thing your missing out on is DLC and dlc is not a requirement.

plus i bought a 250GB 360 harddrive on ebay. so really for 250 dollars and its not like you HAVE to have the harddrive it is just convient. plus who knows gamestop might always run that 99 dollar 360 sale again. so ya i agree with you now is the perfect time if you are one of those hold outs kind of people of which i know there are many. hell with black friday mere months away im sure some killer wii,360 and ps3 bundles will be floating around. even though the WiiU is a year away now is a great time to get that system as it is so damn cheap.

[QUOTE="kayoticdreamz"]i get it some people cant use the phone and drive others can.MrGeezer

You can say the exact same thing about driving drunk.

Most people who drive drunk are never going to get a DUI. There simply aren't enough police officers to catch everyone who's DUI, and most people driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol aren't so impaired that they are incapable of killing someone on their way home from the bar/club. Furthermore, even among those who do get caught for DUI, in most cases it isn't even close to their first offense. Meaning that statistically, you're likely to get away with doing it many times before ever getting arrested or getting into an accident.

The person who does it habitually can absolutely use the same justification for his actions: "I've driven drunk thousands of times and never been arrested or involved in an accident. Some people can't drive drunk, but others (primarily me) can."

LOL no. being drunk or high affects your brain. your brain at the point of being intoxicated is no longer functioning at full power. a sober brain while using the phone is stil la brain at full power. the problem with intoxicated drivers is there brain is not all there never mind the fact if youve ever seen a drunk person then you very well know they should never drive. same thing with a very tired person they shouldnt drive either. intoxicated and tired drivers have caused far more harm than anything else. you can drive and do other things. eat, change the radio. change a cd, deal with kids, and even answer the phone(something truckers and many other companies would fall apart without road and phone communication). the only leg the phone arguement slightly has is the texting and thats only on touch screen phones where there is no keypad to memorize and even then theres no reason you cant glance down to grab a drink, change the radio, or hit the next letter on your phone to send a text. the only reason this becomes an issue is idiots cant grasp the concept of talking on the phone is safer than texting and if theres a lot of traffic dont text. basically be smart about when you use the phone. however there is no smart about driving drunk. this is all just a craze the latest in our government and lobbyists pushing for more BS laws. as for me during rush hour i put the phone down. heavy traffic i dont use the phone. bad weather i dont use the phone. i pick better times to use the phone when i have too and even then i do prefer not too but a ban on it is just pure overreaction but i guess thats the norm many love our government to keep passing restrictive laws left and right.

Interstates are the only highways where pedestrians are not allowed. Any other road it is permissible. As seen in the above pic, there are no sidewalks in that immediate area. It is highly possible that the teens were walking to or from a fast food joint on one side of the interstate or the other from where they live as there are retail, fast food and housing in that area. Are you saying that they do not have the right to walk along the road to go and get something to eat? Now, it is illegal to walk in the road, but not along the edge of it or the emergency lane for that matter.

Her being on the phone and in an argument meant she was not paying attention to her driving.

interestates its illegal to walk on period that side lane is for cars to pull if neccessary. you are right her arguement on the phone didnt help but however she was drunk and had a suspended license and possibly on meds all three of those are a an instant reason not to drive. the talking on the phone is insult to injury she was already breaking the law by driving talking on the phone had nothing to do with it it just aided an already insane person do something even dumber. i get it some people cant use the phone and drive others can.

What was wrong with walking next to the road on the grass? Not that I'm defending the woman at all, but 5-10 feet further from the road could have saved these kids lives.

common sense thats what was stopping them. you dont walk on an interstate for good reason and if you do the grass areas are the safest bets.

[QUOTE="fantasyfacade"][QUOTE="MetallicaKings"]

I think under the influence had more to do with this. Whats the big problem with talking on the phone? Is it because you are only driving with one hand, as 90% of us do anyway? Or is it the act of communication? Should we not talk to a passenger in the seat next to us too?

I'm thinking the former, because you are allowed to talk on the phone if you use a bluetooth headset.

MetallicaKings
The reason why its illegal to talk is not because of the only having the use of one hand, but because studies have showen that talking on the phone while driving dramatically decreases your reaction time. It's also the same with blue tooth headsets and most countries have bans on talking on the phone while driving full stop thanks to these studies. Whereas talking to someone beside you is different because they share in the experience of driving and will be aware of traffic so if the driver fails to see something the passenger probably won't and can warn the driver.

So does this mean we should also ban talking to people in the back seat? Talking to your children, etc? Everything is just so farfetched.

i agree with you. i think the DUI and suspended license and now the apparent blackouts have more to do with it than the damn phone. i mean we multitask all the time while driving. hell truck drivers need a phone or radio as do many other occupations while driving. i agree with you i suspect this is a plot to ban cell phones while driving when this women was drunk, suspended license, possibly on meds and so out of it she hit 3 people and dragged them across the road. the phone here was clearly the least of the problems its just the nice cherry on top. the crime i say should still be mainly the death of 3 people above all else. to suggest we cant multitask while driving is a gross underestimation of the human brain.

[QUOTE="Black_Knight_00"][QUOTE="dvader654"]GS just gave all PC owners a $50 coupon and a buy 2 get 1 free on preorders because of this mess. Very nice gesture.dvader654
If you smash someone's car headlight the least you can do is write them a check. They're simply avoiding worse consequences

I would much rather have the $50 coupon. Basically everyone just got the game for free. That is a million times better than an onlive coupon. If I were I PC owner I would have wished I got it at GS at this point. They are the ones losing out on all this, they are going to the extreme to make things right. Basically what I am saying is that if their stupidity will get me a free game, please be stupid! :P

ya this game simply because there are so many coming out isnt on my list to get. but i wish i would of gotten it on the PC at launch now just because of this.

[QUOTE="funsohng"][QUOTE="DDRMom"] They release in November because a lot of people do their shopping early.Nintendo_Ownes7

I actually do most of my Christmas shopping after Christmas

But the reason they release in November is because most people do there Christmas shopping on the Friday after Thanksgiving in the United States anyway and that is the Friday after Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword releases in North America.

That is the biggest shopping day of the year.

ya but why not release a few in october? i mean seriously do all these games have to be bunched together within 2 weeks?
