Did you not see what Nintendo did with the DS? Of course they'll reiterate it every flapping year!
I sound like I'm bashing it, but I'll probably whore out and buy every single one, anyway...

In case you haven't gathered, the nunchuck is required. Technically, the second player doesn't have to have one, but they're just doing a bit thing (slightly more than in SMG1, but just so).
Nah, you should be completely fine. The disc is firmly placed. If anything were damaged, it would the GC controller (mine have sustained a considerable amount of damage and still work fine).
As long as everything's working fine, why worry, right?
It's both an SRPG and a dating sim. Your team mates don't level up - they gain more abilities and more power depending on how close a relationship you have with them. Those dialogue parts are important! They'll inform you on which choices you need to pick in order to progress the way you want.

Agreed. Fair enough. XD
I still wish there were some way they could... I don't know... Jazz it up? It just feels so stale to me. I could certainly see its appeal to some (and there was a point in my life where I would have eaten up a game like this), but I guess I'm looking for more action these days.
On Sakura Wars: I'm sorry, but once I realized I was over two hours into the game and had not yet experienced any actual gameplay (nothing but still-screens and text dialogue...), I put it away and vented my fury on Brawl for a while.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good RPG every now and then, but even FF8 never got this bad. I finally forced myself to play up to an actual battle, and it was actually relatively enjoyable (I found that it's more of a SRPG), but now I'm too afraid of another 2-hour dialogue session to turn it back on...!
It's a cute game. It's mostly composed of minigames, but it has decent amounts of story to it, as well.
The minigames get repetitive after a short while, but my biggest complaint would have to be the controls: Controlling Pikachu across a 3D plain with the D-Pad = Extremely Clumsy. If they're smart, they'll add a nunchuk option to the American release.
In any case, I still enjoyed a few good hours on it.
If you haven't gathered from the other posters here, I will reiterate: Sell online (ebay or craigslist). Seriously. It takes more effort, but you might end up saving more time in the long run with all the ranting you won't have to do afterwards. :P
There is no bow in Tri... that's only in the PSP and MH2 for the PS2 I think.

No bow? Well, I mean, there is a bowgun, correct? Unless if you mean from a strictly semantic point of view.
Either way, the bowgun functions more like a semi-automatic crossbow. And BOY is it difficult to hit anything with it...
