@farrell2k: The draw distance easily matches Crysis it also does it with superior lighting and textures. Cryis looks like trash now god you hermits are officially the most pathetic fanboys on SW.
I'm not gonna try to say that Crysis doesn't look at least a bit dated at this point, without mods, but I will say that draw distance means nothing when you're looking at painted backdrops of scenery you can't actually get to. In the larger levels of Crysis, you'd see some battle going down on a distant shore across the bay, and it's not just a backdrop animation. You can actually go there and get into the fight.
Mainly because 2d backdrop don't count as draw-distance.
What's wrong with wanting to earn Trophies? They're so gratifying to acquire. I've got only one Platinum Trophy - that of RE5 - and the countless hours I put toward earning it were so fun and filled with anticipation. In regard to BF4, I spent about eighteen hours this past weekend earning Trophies in the campaign as well as in multiplayer, and spent yesterday and today earning Trophies solely in the MP; I now have only two to earn - one that requires that I reach Rank 25 and another that requires that I make forty five kills with the M1911 handgun, which I have to unlock. In regard to the latter Trophy, I spent today upgrading and unlocking sidearms so that I can eventually unlock the required M1911; I'm now three upgrades away and can't wait.
Earning Trophies tests one's patience and determination as a gamer, adds replayability to games, and is a fun and rewarding experience.
doesn't matter if it looks like the first video or the last video, it's not really a powerful console.
yeah. its the most powerful 8th gen console, but power is down across the board with consoles this gen.
This. When the most powerful console has a 3 year old laptop gpu, you know somethings wrong.
The PS3 equivalent PC GPU was $600 at retail when PS3 came out. You can get a 270X for LESS than the cost of a PS3, and its still more powerful than PS4.
Not this broken record again
Lets hope Sony throws $600 GPUs in the console again (inaccurate as the GPU in the PS3 was an extremely downgraded 7800GTX) so the PS4 would be $600 and not $400 it is. Nevermind the fact the PS4 was going to be outdated day 1 just as the PS3 was outdated day 1
The only people who care about what Sony did 7 years ago (which nearly ruined them) is a bunch of graphic whore hermits who spend $500 a year upgrading to the latest card. Reality check: Nobody else cares.
And this joke of a thread? lol. You're still crying about a crapcom game? Make a thread 'chronicling' the downgrade of Uncharted 4's graphics, and then I'll care. Or just continue wasting your time with this. Your choice
Seriously you're happy about saving a measly 200$ (assuming 100% no subsidy on sony's part) over the course of 6-8 years in exchange for vastly inferior graphics in all your 60$ games... no doubt addin up to thousands of $$$$ throughout the gen...sad.
Not to mention all you had to do to would have been waiting a year instead of buying day one.
@k1ngd0m4g3rul3z: It (the 32-bit version) was playable on my ASUS laptop which has Windows 8.1. But, I thought Far Cry 3 was better so I uninstalled Crysis.
It wouldn't launch on my 8.0 a few months ago, I'll try reinstalling it and use the 32bit executable..
oh and FC3 is not a bad game but it doesn't compare
I have a gaming PC and a PS4. My original plan for this generation was to play all multiplatform games on PC and use my PS4 only for exclusives, but I've recently become addicted to earning Trophies, so my plans have changed. I need only two more Trophies to earn the Platinum Trophy for BF4, and can't wait until I do.
