That's the best I could do saving-wise, runs 50fps avg ultra maximum AA/AF on bf3 and 45fps avg dx11 max aa/af ultra avg Crysis 2, same for witcher 2, skyrim etc. But C3 is a big no-no, haven't tried BF4 yet.
So I guess no, I wouldn't. I'd spend 200€/$ more and get a kickass cpu like a 4670k and an ssd.
700-800$ is the sweet spot. For 1080p and endurance through the following 3-4 years.
People who bought a i5 2500k 3 years ago are still kickin a**.
