"70-90 hours is about average to see the real ending in MGSV"

I got to the "real" ending in around 40 hours, and nice job conveniently ignoring my other points ;)

@tallestjon95:

Pretty sure that (1) XO is adding mods and (2) reviewing a game at the outset based on mods is ridiculous. It's a review of the game as a whole in its current state. There are no mods.

As for controls, I fail to see what this has to do with the game if they're different from prior entries. It's still the same game on PC as it is on XO, except you play with a controller instead of a m/k, which goes without saying.

As for the horrible stutter problems, I have not heard anything about this, and it would be easy to point this out in a review (on an issue that would likely be fixed within a handful of days) without creating entirely separate reviews (i.e. just pointing out slight differences).

"Considering most will be playing this for almost 100 hours this is a piss poor assessment."

The average playtime will likely be nowhere near this. A majority of people who play games don't finish them at all.

"That's not even half of the games content experienced."

How much time have you put into it?

"I feel the same thing happened with MGSV. After 93 hours no way does that game deserve a ten. Hell to the no."

Why would anyone put that much time into MGS:V???

And, obviously there are diminishing returns on games when you start getting into replayability. That's why replayability and longevity are usually aspects of most reviews (but, only that, an aspect).

It's entirely refutable based on the point I made and you conveniently ignored.

This is a review of the game as a whole. It is obvious that it will look and run better on PC, without any need to provide 3 separate reviews for each platform the game is on. You can make the insanely obvious inference yourself, without the need for additional man hours to write separate views based on different visuals for each platform.

Basically, Matt: Your point is moot.

@jonnybrownieboy:

Except Tales series has been doing that for much longer and through 10+ games, with the same crappy archetypes.

That, and the comparison is stupid. Completely different genres, reviews, and reviewers.

He's talking about readers/commenters. There are plenty raging about the review--for whatever reason.

It's the exact same game except for visuals. Everyone knows this for every game that is also on PC.

Prove it.

Oh, and while you're at it, tell me why in particular they'd publish a video that is potentially very negative.
