I think the PC will start to catch on alot more in the next couple years. Not just because of arguably superior hardware, I just don't think some people realize how practical it really is. Most people need a computer anyway and most likely already have one, and people tend to make a bigger deal out of upgrading a rig than it really is. Also with big picture mode from Steam its just as easy to play in your living room as it is with a console (and even easier later on with the Steam Box). Thanks to Kickstarter and Greenlight, PC's are becoming the forefront of indie development and innovation that was previously controlled solely by big teams in the industry. This competition should force the industry to innovate more frequently now that indie devs are biting at the heels of AAA companies. You can even find games alot cheaper than you can for consoles. The threat of PC game piracy forces companies like games to delve down to lower price points to satisfy their customers. Other than that Kevin did a great job highlighting all the great things in PC gaming this year. Personally I'm still gonna have to buy a PS4 to enjoy exclusives like MGS:GS/V, but I feel like some people just stick to consoles because in some ways its still a more streamlined experience. If people just do a bit of research they'll realize switching to PC's isn't all that intimidating. Regardless I look forward to enjoy my rig even more this upcoming year:)
