[QUOTE="jmartin1016"]

I recently sold my 360 and used the money to buy a PS3. I had owned my 360 since launch and had alot of fun with it. The last several months however I noticed that xbox live moved super slow, and I couldn't stay connected long enough to make it through a multiplayer match. Also it would take a full minute to sign in and load the dashboard. I was afraid that it would break (again) soon and it was no longer under warranty. So I sold it and got a PS3. I had forgotten that the PS3 requires an install for every game (even demos). I was pleased to find that Playstation network runs silky smooth for downloads and online play. Also, A few titles have a visual edge on anything i had seen on 360. I got a logitech driving force gt and I'm eagerly waiting for GT5. I hope it's as good as Forza 3. I think it's funny how people always say that 360 has superior online gaming, from my experience it's the opposite. Anyone else jump ship from one to the other?

wait... so you sold your 360 because there was something wrong with your internet connection? :|

the problem that you were having had nothing to do with the hardware of the 360

I'm pretty sure my problem was with the hardware. I just wasn't sure if it was the wireless adapter or the console. It also could have been Time Warner cable interfacing with Live. I have 6 Wireless devices, and they all work flawlessly. And my new PS3 works flawlessly. I didn't want to sink anymore money/time into trying to et it to work, after going through every tech support forum I could find on that issue, I was just tired of it.

SO what happens in a month or two when you are bored with your PS3 for some lame reason and you realize there is a 360 exclusive you wish you could play? Do you sell your PS3 for another 360 and then make another thread trying to justify it?

I'm usually cool missing out on one or two exclusives that interest me. Right now I'm sure I'll be longing to play gears 3 when it hits. And yes, selling a console always leaves me emotional so I come to the boards for positive reinforcement... thanks alot :(

Also, being new to PSN, I don't have many friends. I only play a few time a week, (Job,Wife,Small Child)but I would appreciate any friend requests from such an outstanding group like this!

Nice you got a PS3, shame you had to sell your 360, maybe it was the 360's ethernet port that was slowing things down and droping connections.

I agree! I wish I could have kept it, but I would never be able to buy a PS3 without sellin it. I was thinking about buying a new network adapter to see if that would help, but I really didn't want to invest in that when it could also be the console itself, or my ISP interacting with Live.

Currently I have Burnout Paradise (Have to have something to use my driving force gt on), Little Big Planet (This is the first game I have ever owned that my wife bugs me to play, She loves it!), MGS4 (Incredible, 3/5 complete and problably best game I've ever played. Im a MGS fan, but this game is so awesome and filled with fan service it makes me giddy. Like at the end of act 3 when Liquid get the Guns of the Patriots!) Killzone is up next on my list. I was looking at Borderlands to play with my friends that are scattered across the US, but not untill they patch it.

Halo is ok. When it was first released it was a above average shooter. Then when Halo 2 released it was again above average. Halo3 was great, but by no means better than dozens of other shooters availibe at the time. Overall the Halo franchise is slightly above average. The biggest thing it has going for it is it's popularity.

Yeah it's tied to your profile. You have to call xbox support to get it removed I think. The website had a button to remove the credit card but it wouldnt work for me.

I kinda did put the names of the games in the auction. I removed my gold account and called support to have my credit card removed. I'm thinking I will leave my profile on there and change all the info the the winning bidders' info. That way they can use my profile to play arcade games, also they could modify the account to their likeing. Should I have any other concerns?
