[QUOTE="Musacircuit_2"]A good HDTV kills most any monitor in the market.yoyo462001im going to totally disagree with you here. monitors have much much better quality than TV's, its due to the fact you have to be closer to it so it has to look good close up, go up close to your HDTV and tell me it looks better...oh and never buy sceptre really bad brand, never heard a good word about them.
Agree.
Monitors are almost all TN panels while HDTVs come in TN, VA, and IPS panels. That might seem like a plus, but the overdrive to decrease ghosting on those TVs cause a MASSIVE amount of noise. They are good until you get close. Most monitors have sharp pictures. The better panels (VA, IPS) also cause input lag which WILL cause the lipsync to be off if the TV doesn't use a ton of overdrive.
When you say not enough, how bad of a picture are we looking at? All this projector needs to do is display education type PowerPoint slides, stuff like black words on while. Right now you can barely see anything with the light on.
Also, what are the signs that a bulb needs replaced? I know that CRT and LCD monitor lose brightness and contrast over time. Is the same true for projector bulbs or do they just die like light bulbs?
Thanks
3DS Max, Maya, Blender 3D, Lightwave, etc.
I know it affects the frame rate of animations in the view port, but does the graphics card influence rendering time? I have a 3.2GHz AMD rig, but it takes a long time to render shading. I was wondering if getting a card with more shaders would help speed it up.
I am trying to help someone with a problem with their projector.
You cannot see the picture very well at all when the lights are on. I am thinking that it is the bulb, but I would hate to suggest spending $700 on a new bulb if the problem is that the projector doesn't have a high enough lumen count. The lumen count of the projector is 700. The light that washes it out is about the equivalent of the light in a well lit classroom.
Does anyone have a high enough understanding of this stuff to help me out?
Thanks.
My first build is the one in my sig. Thanks to this place and a lot of research, I made no mistakes. Positioning the pegs to hold the mobo was a chore though.
One could say that buying the 7900GS OC was a mistake, but I bought it in Nov when there were no better options for the price (I got it for $120). I knew what I was getting, and it serves me well. Even now, the cheapest choice over it would be the 8800GTS 384MB at $30 more. I am happy.
