I was so excited when I heard Battlefront was being revived this gen. This generation has killed more games then I can count. I DON'T BUY THE SHIT! and these greedy business practices are killing any interest I have in the hobby.

I love lord of the rings but I don't like greedy game companies. I won't even buy this game when it goes on sale. They will manipulate drop rates via patches. It's shame really I would have bought it day one. I think it looks great really. I play games because I like questing for loot. It's the reward that drives me to play. Put that loot into crates with low reward drop rates. Then make me grind 10000 enemies or pay up and you can go to hell. It breaks the core mechanic of gaming I've been enjoying for 30 years. Ever since the first Zelda game.

@sealionact: Or I could just buy it on Xbox and play Destiny 2 because I have nothing else to play.

@metalslimenite: I did 50 shrines in Zelda before calling it quits. Once I learned there weren't traditional dungeons I didn't want to play it anymore. I didn't like the look of Horizon. Robotic dinosaurs aren't my thing. I didn't like art design of Nier although I do like Platinum. Persona is a bit to Japanese for me. I'm not a fan of Anime. I'll probably pick up Mario Odyssey and Xenoblade. The last PS4 game I played was Rise of the Tomb Raider. I really enjoyed the first Tomb Raider but I was annoyed by all the fetch crap they put into Rise. The crafting mechanic got on my nerves. Same with Zelda I hate when games have me fetching tons of shit. I really like Dark Souls series but I played 2 to death. I was a bit burned out after 2 so I never played 3.

Man the gaming industry is screwed up. No room for innovation or creativity yet games to these corporations are becoming nothing but cash grabs. I haven't bought a game I enjoyed in the past year. I don't play multiplayer and there is a serious lack of quality single player games. I was interested in Deus Ex and Hitman but Square dropped the ball. So many games ruined by bad choices. Just like Shadow of War recently announcing micro transactions. I just want a quality complete experience out of the box without someone trying to extort money out of me for content. I hate the way they are structuring the game experience to nickel and dime us. If it weren't for indie games and the occasional good single player experience I would have torched my PS4 by now. My patients is wearing thin because I don't have anything I want to play.

@soarlozer: From what I've seen of these loot boxes I have better odds of hitting a jackpot at a real casino. Seriously I've taken $60 to the casino and turned it into over $1000 quite a few times. At least in a real casino it's regulated and by law they have to pay out a certain percentage. These loot crates are a predatory practice and need to be regulated and taxed.

The list of games I'm willing to buy just gets smaller and smaller. I had 3 games I was thinking about purchasing this fall now I'm down to 2. I'm starting to wonder whats the point gaming? I will not support these business practices. My ps4 is collecting dust at the moment. Nioh Nier and Persona just aren't my type of games. I was extremely disappointed in Zelda. I didn't care for the new formula one bit. I did 50 shrines and two beasts. I was really looking forward to Shadow of War. I love LOTR stuff. Warner Bros can make up for the lost sales by milking the idiots that buy it. If I'm going to gamble with my money I'm going to a real casino. At least it's regulated and by law they have to pay out a certain percentage. From what I've seen of loot crates in call of duty I've have better odds of hitting a jackpot at the casino.

@Pyrosa: I bought it day one and finished within a week. I didn't have any problems with it. I watched my cousin beat it on the hardest mode.

@jamesbr27: Yeah I've been replaying Dantes Inferno the past couple of days. Such a great game too bad it came out at the same time as Modern Warfare 2. DI is such an underrated gem. We just don't see many ambitious games anymore. The market is just flooded with cheap cash grabs. Especially from EA and Activision.
