@suicidesn0wman: I think looking for a game in particular and finding a deal on it is the most fun part, also, let´s not forget the suspense between the purchase and the arrival, it´s like Xmas when you get it ! not that retro but I got this one for 10 bucks.

It just needed a little cleaning.

Awesome game every bit as good as Donkey Kong Country Returns.

I had a turbo back in 1990-91 it was a great system but I think it's low sales had more to do with the Nintendo being so popular. I did see a fair amount of advertising for it. I ditched my Turbo when the SNES came out. Nintendo dominated everything back then. The Turbo was also very expensive and if you had to choose only one system most went with Nintendo for brand recognition.

I remember walking around the mall with $300 in my pocket. I went into a store and all the Turbo games were 1/2 off. I went bananas and bought a ton of game. I had like 15 games for it. I enjoyed my Turbo but I've never had any desire to pick another one up. I traded it with all the games for a big bag of weed.

Fuck that "involve the federation" Metroid is about isolation and exploration. One part I hated about Prime 3 were the fucking hunters and the federation. It broke the immersion of isolation. It almost seemed like they were trying to copy Halo in some ways. I want a big open atmospheric world to EXPLORE with back tracking. Prime 3 felt way too linear. Personally I don't want another Prime game. Let it go and move on and reinvent the series. I love the Prime games but I want something more like Super Metroid exploration isolation back tracking atmosphere. I don't want some stupid story about the federation crammed down my throat.

JDC-Nice to have another michigander on the forums. I live in grosse ile, by wyandotte/riverview area, south of detroit.

Same here I'm in Warren just north of 8 mile. I fish down your way in the spring for walleye. How did you know I was from Michigan? I'm just curious because I couldn't find it in my account info.

I just came back to check on this thread because I had a home invasion yesterday. I went grocery shopping at 9am and I left the backdoor unlocked. I left it unlocked because I figured since my cousin was home I didn't need to lock it. He was still in bed though. When I got back from the store I noticed the gate was open. I thought someone was just checking the water meter. I go in the house and the backdoor is wide open. My cousin came out of the bedroom and asked if I just got home. He said someone had opened his bedroom door and quickly shut it. He thought it was me and it was 15 minutes before I got home. Someone had the balls to come into my house. I'm totally freaked out at the moment.

You said earlier in the thread you live 2 blocks north of detroit?

lol yeah I'm a dumb ass.

Sorry for your loss but this is why I hate digital content it's so easy to loose everything. I lost thousands of dollars in music a while back.

Exactly the opposite

Don't encourage people to avoid things that will help them keep their games.

This is true. You lose a retail game it's gone for ever. You lose a system with digital games attached, you just buy a new system, log in, and re-download them. Of course that's assuming you bought them from a service with a unified account system, which basically everyone these days has, minus a few services such as Nintendo's... still living in 2002.....

At least if you tied it to a club Nintendo account you might stand some sort of a chance to get your digital games back. But isn't club Nintendo gone? Haven't checked it in forever. At the very least they may have your club Nintendo account info saved somewhere so I'd give it a try like mesome said.

What happens when said service that you download from is no longer available and you loose your 3ds or it breaks or whatever? Digital content sucks in the long term. Personally I think it sucks period.

For $60 your're not going to get much. Save your money and when you can get a set of Astro's. They're expensive but worth every penny. I use them for gaming and watching movies. Most other brands are junk like turtle breaches. They break way too easy.

I worry about fire and thieves. My house is old and I worry about the wiring causing a fire. I also live 2 blocks north of Detroit. I have several drug addicts in my family that like to burglarize homes. My cousin broke into my grandmothers house and ripped her off. 2 of my neighbors homes have been broken into. My uncle had his home broken into also. I can't afford a alarm system. I fortified my house the best I could. I prop a 2x8 against the back door when I'm not some so no one can kick it in. I also have my windows sealed up pretty well. It's not going to stop anyone if they want in bad enough but its better then nothing. If I got robbed it would be devastating. I have $8000 in video games $15000 in fishing equipment and guns and another $10000 in misc stuff.

The best thing you can do is get home owners or rental insurance. Then document everything you have in pictures and put them online.
