@owlcoholic: My intention was to point out that most every system in the last 3 (4?) console generations hasn't had a pack in game at launch.... The only exceptions were the Wii and Wii U. Why are people throwing a fit? At launch (US) the PS1, N64, Game Boy Color, Saturn, Dreamcast, PS2, Xbox, Gamecube, , PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4, DS, 3DS, GBA, PSP... did not have a pack in game. This argument makes absolutely no sense. That's 16 of the 18 systems I can think of that released in that time span (sorry if I'm forgetting any). So 90% of the systems released in the last 20 years didn't have a pack in , "but the Switch butter cuz Nintendo!" -_-
@owlcoholic: The Genesis launch pack in wasn't Sonic the hedgehog, it was altered beast, The NES launch pack in was a robot and some goofy game to go with it not Mario. We are talking about LAUNCH, not two years down the road. Sonic didn't even release until 1991. The Genesis launched in 1989... And how does including the Gamecube make it a moot point?!? Tell me why Nintendo must include a pack in AT LAUNCH when neither Microsoft or Sony did such things with the XBone or PS4? Maybe six to nine months down the road sure, but this is a double standard.
@doctor_mg actually you didn't even have to call Nintendo. you downloaded a piece of software from the wii shop that allowed you to transfer all your games without calling them. I did it, it took a while but it was pretty painless, plus you got to watch pikmin carry all your data through the system. is was kinda cool. :-)
The Wii U launch lineup looks like gold compared to the Switch launch lineup, but I've seen worse over the years. If the Switch brings in both their handheld and home console fan base and sales take off, look out. we could have the best of both worlds in one place.
What games did the PS4 and Xbox one have packed in at launch??? Why must the switch have a pack in at launch?
Edit: the more i think about it most systems haven't had a pack in game at launch...Dreamcast...no...PS2...nope...Gamecube...nuh uh...Xbox 360....negative...PS3...hell no and that thing was $600... seems to be a pretty silly thing for Nintendo to have to defend themselves on.
Seems like a fair review. While I have not yet played the game, I have watched several videos of people playing the game and you can see they still haven't fixed all the Wonky animations and Physics issues that have plagued the series since 2001.
What I would love to see in Shenmue 3 if it were ever to happen is a love letter to classic Sega Fans. Make it so you can get a Saturn, SG 1000, Mega Drive and Master System with a selection of games to unlock in some way. also an arcade with all the AM2 classics like Daytona, VF etc. With the size of current media they could fit 50+ old Sega games on there as well.
