Yeah I would say they are pretty reliable my daughter who was 3 at the time used mine for a penny bank and i still could play games in it.... took back and got a new one... havent had any problems since and my ps3 is as high as i can put it
Sony makes A pretty good penny bank... My 3 year old decided to put her change in it not knowing i played for several days... then when i moved it i heard the coins... It still worked.... Luckily i had a warranty and got it replaced for free... Then I put the Ps3 even higher where i need to get on my tippy toes to reach it =)...
