I see the jump from 1000 to 3000 but 1000- 2000 or 2000-3000 I don't see a need for. I haven't moved from my 1000 yet and I don't plan on moving (maybe to the 3000 but I will probably wait for a 4000). Besides is there any real major reason to make the jump from 1000 to 2000. Its not as big of a difference as the DS and DSlite.

i always buy what is the best.. regardless of brand, and last summer the price to graphics ratio worked out to me getting a BFG GeForce 8600 GTS with a $40 mail in rebate... so i cant complain, besides by the time im ready to upgrade again the dual GPU's will be ready for me (you know let them get the kinks out first)... but so far i don't think anyone can complain about the GPU market right now, i mean 3 years ago $175 would get you a 128MB X600 not a great deal in my opinion.
