Does anyone know how well they play? Some Xbox 360 games play 20%-30% worse on the One. I've heard mixed things on the first game.

Black Ops had the best story, Modern Warfare 2 and Ghosts were the most epic, and World at War was the most visceral. The rest are meh, though I didn't play Advanced Warfare or Black Ops 3.

I'd say it's one of the best multiplayer titles this gen which is a testament to the chess-like aspect of Gears gameplay because it's very similar to

Gears 3.

Excellent game. The campaign is fun, and the multiplayer even better. It's not the same caliber as the older titles, but it's got more legs than CoD

and most other modem shooters.

Looked like an incredible game to play, but it was boring to watch. Absolutely loved the graphics though. Whatever engine that was, it's got a timeless aesthetic.

I feel bad for being happy that this flopped. I'm still excited to play it, but it's floppage and the cult status of Alan Wake has the embers of a Quantum Break sequel snuffed out, and the coals of Alan Wake 2 stoked.

You would probably enjoy Deus Ex: Human Revolution. It's got some of the tropes that make Fallout well... Fallout. Dialogue trees, multiple options to complete quests both in gameplay and in story choices, and a fun albeit comparatively gimped progression system. I just played through it for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Y'know, I've always been on board with CoD. I've loved pretty much every entry save for Advanced Warfare, and even that game has a scant few saving graces that kept it in my console for more than a few hours at times. The series is dumb fun and there's almost no shooter easier to plop down and play in short bursts; but then they introduced pay to win-esque micro-transactions. As a result, Activision, who actually had my respect as a publisher prior for not doing what many figured would be done years ago, truly became a caricature of itself. Cosmetic items are all well and good, but adding guns into randomized loot drops with no alternative way to earn them is what has killed this series for me. I won't be returning.

It fills it's niche quite well. It is quite objectively the best arcade shooter on the market in most's opinion, and it's fun. What more do you expect?

I'm going to undoubtedly catch some flak for this, but I thought Ghosts was a great game. Balanced guns, a fast TTK (preferable in my opinion), unique map design that emulated MW2's, excellent hit-detection (best in the series) and a perk system that has yet to be surpassed. There are a lot of campers, sure, but I preferred the more methodical pace of the game. You could rush if you knew what you were doing, but the map design emphasized teamwork more than any other CoD.

Advanced Warfare was awful and Black Ops 3, to me, is boring, but Ghosts echoed all of the best aspects of MW2, and it got crucified for it.

That all said, the original Black Ops is the best in the series. Maybe not objectively -- if it released today I have a feeling it would be hated more than Ghosts, but for it's time it was truly something special. Search and Destroy in that game has a permanent place of residence in the recesses of my heart, right next to Nutella.
