The decline of the US is the decline of every market around the world idiot. We are the largest consumers of goods in the world. We go belly up then most of the other economies including Japan will fail. Were all connected..

Whats wrong with opening US call centers to support US gamers in their US market? US market is huge. They don't even use Japanese call center reps. They Outsource to the cheapest bidders in India and Philippines... Sony Greedy? Naw they love US market. Yea right...

But few of them hire people in USA to answer calls. MS one of the few companies anymore that actually hires workers in the US for the purpose. They pay a lot extra to have Americans answering the phones. Sony 100% outsourced for USA support and you call MS greedy and Sony cares?

You know what the real sad irony of all this is? If MS drops out of the console business because of all the bad press this cycle over 2,000 call center jobs alone in the US are going to disappear. Not to mention all the other non call center related jobs in the US related to Xbox operations. The Live and Billing support are all USA jobs. A few years ago they decided to pull away some of their operations from over seas call centers and hire people here state side because thats what their customers wanted. Does not mean you wont get an over seas person for some departments or when higher volume but they support the US economy more then Sony ever will. My understand is 100% of Sony call centers and most of their operations are not US jobs. In the end the US economy and people who work for MS will suffer if all the bashing takes hold and eliminates Xbox from the marketplace. MS learned some valuable lessons and is responding accordingly to improve their image. They are no more or less evil then Sony and in many ways Xbox is critical to thousands of US workers who earn paychecks every week. Its good to correct them when they are wrong but the negativity and continuing bashing of an American Company that employees so many American workers is a sad thing to see. I guess most of you would rather see MS close down the Xbox project and lay off 3k+ American workers then have them change their policies and get it right. Thats sad :(

Xbox this past cycle was more Indie friendly then Sony. Sony tells you everything you want to hear and kisses everyones ass because they need to. Now MS learns a few lessons Sony did this cycle and changes their policies around to be more inline with what the consumers want and you all complain they are copying Sony? Stop acting like Sony is the good guy and loves gamers. These companies are exactly the same. The only dif is Sony needs to make a real profit this cycle around or you might not see a console in North America from them next cycle so they sit and wait to see what MS does and what MS can get away with then implement their policy as time goes by. They outsmarted MS every turn the new gen but it has nothing to do with them being the good guys. Now MS wakes up and decides to give consumers everything they want just like Sony did and you bitch and moan that they are copying Sony? Really? Give me a break...

Hello! It was their original ideas that has them in trouble in the first place. They went too far too fast and failed to explain why they were doing what they were doing and how it would work because of terrible PR. They got to complacent and sucked at getting their message out now they are playing ball exactly like the gaming public wants them to and you call them copying Sony? Would it be better for them to stick to their guns and have Xbox drop out of the gaming business? Sony is kissing your ass right now because MS makes a console that sold over 70 million units this year. A loss of any of the big three Sony, MS or Nintendo would be a huge loss to gammers everywhere because then nobody would innovate or kiss ass because you would only have one choice anyway. I have a Wii U, pre-ordered a PS4 and will eventually get an Xbox One because I like them all for dif reasons and want to support all three period.

Grow UP, MS is no more greedy then Sony or Nintendo. Sony is hurting and needs to turn their fortunes around this next cycle in North America. They will say and do anything they can to make you think they are the good guys but they are just as greedy as any other company. They were no different then MS is now when the PS3 cycle began. But like every company you have you good times and your bad times. MS learned the same lesson Sony did and history repeats itself. These companies are no different and if you think they are then you are a fool.

Can already do that with Xbox 360 and after reversal M$ stated that policy would be same. So I would assume no changes from current gen.

I was an Xbox FanBoy for 10 years. I give up, dropped my Xbox One pre-order and decided to pre-order a PS4. I'm really disappointed in how they are handling themselves. They could have finally dominated this cycle but for some reason its amateur hour over at Microsoft and they forgot everything they learned over the past 10 years. Its like death to an old friend for me but time to move on :(
