Yep big business, will find a way around this any way they can. Regardless, tariffs harm the consumer ultimately, you will pay for it.

I also have to question individuals that would want Sony out of the business. I personally prefer more choice, and am not loyal to any of these companies outside of what they currently offer. When new consoles come out, you again make the choice of what you think is best.

Less choice = bad for consumers.

Some people seem to invest a lot of time/energy (frustration?) into a game they have no intention of playing...

At the same time though, if what you say is the case, Sean didnt have to take their money, or sign up for 'whatever it is they made him agree to'. He probably saw dollar signs and said ok. At the end of the day he is ultimately responsible for Hello Games and the game that was released unless what you are saying is Sony had a hand it in the entire time and have dictated him and his team along the entire process...

@uninspiredcup: I blame Sony.

Sean Murray wanted to create a simple exploration game that would cost about 15 dollars. But Sony stepped in and made them up the ante by adding stuff they wouldn't be able to amount to. Hello Games got held up to a standard they couldn't achieve due to the presentation of their product.

Just curious, what exactly got added from the 15 dollar game envisioned by Sean to what was released at a full game price? What specifically did Sony specify they had to add into the game? What sort of contract did Sony draw up and make Hello games adhere to, while stating what needed to be in the game, that they had to charge 'x' amount of dollars for that game etc...

Where did you get this from? Just curious really.

Neo hasn't released yet. Scorpio hasn't released yet. I am sure most consumers (like myself) will decide after the dust has settled which console to pick up. I win either way once I make an informed decision and these two consoles are available (or I decide to finally build a new gaming rig).

If Sony screws up, why would I personally care? I was 360 last gen, ps4 this gen. I have played and enjoyed 1st party IP's from both...

I find out odd Xbox fanboys try to act superior like Scorpio is already out and has made the PS4 irrelevant (dont forget your xbox one). The only thing that can do that currently is a gaming pc...

Picked up Doom on sale for PS4. Game runs great. Definitely a lot of fun, great soundtrack, sound effects, fluid combat, love the melee mechanic.

User reviews are very harsh, from what I gather, it looks like they promised you could meet other players (but due to the size of the Galaxy/or is it Universe?) you probably wouldnt meet, but then some people did go to the same planet and couldnt see each other...

Game is getting crucified on Metacritic by users. I think its sad this is what gaming releases can boil down to though. I personally would not pay full price for the game, but I am sure I will enjoy it at some point later this year. A buddy is bringing it over tonight so I can take a look as well.

I just find it sad overall that something which should be enjoyed (gaming in general) can turn negative so quickly. Although, if the dev lied and users were expecting one thing and got something else, well yea they are going to voice there displeasure. Sean and that whole team should have been very careful in terms of what was promised and what they ultimately delivered...

If you had access to both versions (I dont) I would go PC but I am happy its out on PS4. I will most likely pick this up at some point. For any game however, I do not see the point in paying full price. 80 Cad for a game is ridiculous. The only game this gen I consider worth it for me to pay full price would have been Witcher 3, but I only paid 30 for that :).
