Why would I be sick of Kickstarter? It seems to me that the people who are "tired" of Kickstarter are the people who disliked Kickstarter in the first place.

FFXI was one of the greatest and most original MMOs ever made. Even FFXIV pales in comparison.

@gwd3987 @DarkSaber2k @TheOmegaForce70 @chewbacca72 That money isn't tangible. If they were to put themselves on the market, they would be lucky to get half of that. If you've been paying attention recently, the company is not in the best of shape. Their flagship series is continuing to underwhelm, and the reboots they published did not fair as well as they had hoped. Hell, Bravely Default is the best looking thing they have to offer at the moment. I don't know how they managed to run this shit in the ground so badly, but they have.

Anyway, my real point is that the majority of that "money" is in intellectual property, which is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay. Which is usually much less than they hope to get, if anything at all.
