"and I have a 65in 1080p Toshiba DLP TV thats only 5 months old. Im too used to PC gfx and higher resolutions coming from a 24'' screen 2 ft. in front of you......that is real HI-DEF." Well, duh. a 65inch television stretches the pixels over further dimensions, thus magnifying jaggies. "Furthermore, as graphics programmer myself I can tell you that the Gears engine is far more advanced than Halo from a graphics percpective. What you may be perceiving as higher quality is the greater sense of scale that Halo does so well with its wide open vistas etc.. While I am please with Halo as a game I would definately say the graphics are not what I would have hoped from a next gen iteration. Lets face it its not a million miles better than Perfect Dark!" I honestly doubt you are a graphics programmer, but I guess when you are making a point on the internet you can claim to be of any profession, amirite?
Chico129, Guess what. You are wrong about the cell processor
Actually, he might be correct. I build computers, and I can confirm that these video cards on these systems will not need more than 2 processors. The video cards most likely bottleneck on the 2nd processor, making the extra processors on the PS3 a moot point. Cache is only really useful if you are running servers, and the PS3 doesn't have that much extra cache. lol.

Well, I have played the beta. I can tell that the graphical elements that they are pulling off here are more amazing than most people think--it's actually quite stressing on the 360. I personally think Gears looks worse, but it has more to do with the art design. Gears has really, really detailed architecture, but the character models have a such weird "I've got something stuck up my ass" to them. The animations in Gears are robotic, the character animations in Halo 3 are nice and smooth. That to me, is something that can't be shown in pictures. Plus, you're having a HELL of a lot more players online than in Gears, and Gears has very...uh... narrow and compact enviroments. Halo 3 wins hands down when it comes to gameplay, though. Gears is way to simplistic.

A little pricey? Are you kidding me? This is cheap. Generally the XT versions are in the $500-600 range.
