@PlatinumPaladin @Master_Vexov Also downloading the titles again will take up hard drive space and will render games you already have on disk sitting on the shelf, useless. Master is right this is purely for cutting costs and tbh the fact that they will most likely be charging for online, making it region locked (so no more imports) and will most likely make games locked to your account, so that you can play it on any console if you are logged in but not buy any used games or sell them. This makes the entire prospect of console gaming seem excessively unappealing and pointless. I would have to be a fool to purchase a product that the developers DICTATE to me what I am or not alllowed to do with something I have paid good money for and for £400 +, you must be joking, im booking a ticket to the Bahamas instead.
@ronan32 lol its almost like they think anyone is up for a bit of same sex xD. I got nothing against homosexuality, I just find it weird how they play it out like its expected everyone is up for some of it. But I guess you can always choose not to.
Consumers are smart, those of you protecting the ban on used games for next gen and in the minority. If I buy a game for £40, read reviews (whatever) think its good but play it and dont like it I want to sell it and make some of my money back (cut my losses). If these greedy games companies however and Sony and Microsoft prevent me from doing so and tell me that I have to hold on to it forever or throw it away I can assure you of 2 things. 1 the games industry will take the biggest hit it has ever had in history and will lose many gamers and me included. Secondly it will cause a huge boom in hacking and pirating of games as people will use that as a means to not only fight back but to play the games they want without the risk of crap they dont want piling up and being stuck with junk.
you wait and see, Im a gamer too been gaming since kiddies years but I will not hesitate even slightly to completely and outright not touch anything next gen related. Just wait and see games industries, your greed will be your just and timely demise and you deserve to burn.
@nurnberg 100% agree, this is the industry FORCING the consumer to put money in their pockets and to care about them when they dont care about the consumer. Only an entire idiot devoid of principle and reason would buy a console that would force him to buy the game new and not be able to sell it if he doesnt want it anymore.
what if you dont want the game anymore and want to sell it. Why cant you understand that used games is a right of the consumer and this is just fuelling greed.
