@innocent69 thing is developers arent optimising and tailoring graphics for PC much anymore, least of all the ports, so the PC has been capable of feats far beyond what the PS4 will be able to achieve however due to consoles the PC has been bottlenecked. While the PS4 will be temporary good news for those of us with high end PCs, it will be short lived and still not make the most of our PCs since some of us already have more powerful hardware as it is. but for a while at least we can get ports that will at least make more of that monster power and rendering capabilities for those with 690GTXs etc but eventually it will be the same old story of outdated console hardware but new PC graphics cards, and having all that power that wont be utilised.
@rarson @TiberiusJones I think you are right and I think that the ps4 will also have less success than the ps vita at launch too. Thing is before consoles were on par with top of the range PCs when they came out but this gen will be the first gen that (for sony and possibly microsoft too) that the consoles will be significantly underpowered compared to high end PCs that are already out now and are more powerful than the PS4 before its even been released.
@NoHyperbolePlz @Ovirew @TiberiusJones if that is the case then hopefully later models of the ps4 can include backwards compatitbility since the price to make the hardware will dramatically decrease over time.

he could have simply said yes if it was a yes, but he worded it like that. Thing is like Battlefield 3 I can play the disk on any hardware too given I log into my PSN account but if I sell it to anyone else then they cant play it because its locked to my psn account. It was his way of saying YOU can play it but no one else can otherwise he would have straight up said "yes you can play used games" but he didnt. Also PSN price hasnt been annouced yet its true they may go down the psn and psn + route again we shall see. However in terms of region lock he said:

I know the answer, but I don't want to be quoted and get a call from my PR guy saying, 'What did you say?'"
Which means that it will most probably be region locked but since it would be bad for PR to say so he wont tell us even though he says he knows the answer. So if it wasnt region locked why wouldnt he tell us? surely that would be beneficial PR?
read in between the lines mate... its a sad story that is being unveiled here.
@kingotnw @houshidar the fact that they will charge for online even though im paying for my internet already, the fact that they will not allow used games but will allow you to play the games you buy new on any hardware given you log into your account (like BF3 and Skyrim have done this gen). The fact that they will region lock and you cant import games anymore. The fact that there will be no backwards compatibility but are more than happy to "re-master" an entire franchise on previous consoles just to sell it to you again for a bumped up price.
Eventually you'll have to pay a subscription fee just to be able to play your games and they will limit the hours you can play online from 8am-11pm due to service hours being limited to that. And you may have to pay for 99p for demos as a "taster". Seriously, maybe its because Ive gone through multiple generations of consoles throughout my gaming life but does no one else see how ridiculous these limitations are? how about if you buy a car from me and I say you can use it in only specific countries and you cant sell it to anyone else? or that you cant buy fuel from anyone except Shell? and that we will charge you £10 a month for using the roads kinda like the congestion charge in London now or that no one else but you can drive the car?. These are all ridiculous proposals. I am most definitely out and not going to purchase, I hope many more do the same and tbh if any of you wish to carry on and be futher dictated to what you can and cant do with something you have paid £400 + for (a good chunk of many peoples wages), then you deserve what the gaming industry is doing to you.
Dictatorships have been crumbling all over the world recently, hopefully Sony, Microsoft and other gaming companies trying to employ these greed tactics will follow.
@TohouAsura they didnt say used games work they said games will work on any hardware, the same goes for my steam I can play my games on any PC but I have to log into my account and I cant sell it to anyone else. So the actual answer is no used games dont work, but you can play your games on any system. Kinda what Bethesda did with Skyrim and Dice with Battlefield 3 these are existing examples of what they will employ with future games. So no used games wont work mate sorry...
