Are you some kind of appointed inspector that knows all about what this union does and what-not? Or are you just here to come and rate a union and be on your way? Either way it's kind of ridiculous you're doing this, no offense or anything, but someone with a ton of union experience I'd trust a lot more than someone who just decided to do this.
I like both of those, they both sound like interesting thoughts, but what are there lasting power?
How about a Downloadable Content union, I'm not sure if there's one of those, and it would be really useful for people who like mods, stuff that's on Xbox Live Marketplace, PSN, or Wii. I feel like a union like that could do really well if it was updated regularly.
Hey guys, haven't been around that much lately. For those who don't know me, I was the founder and leader of the elder scrolls fan union, a union with over 2000 members here, and 400+ off-site. I founded and led both the Union Leader Council and the Game Designers Universe last year as well.
I'm finally back a little bit more, and I plan on starting my own union, the Professional Baseball Union, as well as posting here from time to time.
I spend 90% of my posting time in unions rather then the general boards as I even know people by name in there, it's the community that makes this site what it is. Getting rid of them would most likely stop me coming to gs as I do.
So I would prefer them to be improved.

Same here. Some of the unions I visit have talk of changing to other sites that have other options. Game Trailers is mentioned as such an option. I don't know what they do differently there. But I do know the tlk is there for a reason. Some say they used to feel welcome on GS. But since you can be moderated for asking questions to the wrong people that feeling has changed.
As a former-leader of a union that had moved off-site, it is a viable option and it can help gain activity as a community if you are dedicated enough. However, it would be nice to see something here, at least a small improvement.
Have an idea for a union but don't have the time to make it? Deposit your ideas here for those who are caught up in their leader duties or life duties but want to see a different union made for a specific topic.
The only time recently when gamespot said something in this thread is when I said people should move their unions off the site because they would be more productive out there.
Why not add Top Leader or something of that nature. By the way, I think the awards show should skip all the advertisements and what-not, and instead focus on the unions, telling exactly what each union does and such.
I'm too lazy to post a link but check the site enhancements board and you'll find a huge 2000+ post thread full of unfulfilled promises, and brilliant left-behind ideas.
Back when I started this union, the union's own awards were an idea of mine. We even had nominations for unions and such. However, with Gamespot's Unofficial awards I didn't really see a need. Since there not doing it this year, we should plan to make it ourselves.
Kc, it's gonna take a big effort by you, but if you get all the members to vote, and spread the word about this union so you can get votes in from others, this could be a pretty big event. I'd message moderators as well.
